So from this, you can fairly adaquately see that the RM, indy pirates, outcasts and lane hackers, should NOT form a group and randomly attack Manhattan. Also worthy of note... Basing attacks out of conneticut is lame beyond belief. It's also against the rules.

Don't do this. It makes me extremely annoyed.

Lane Hackers don't want to destroy Liberty or depose the government. They're nerds who got sand in their flaps about Ageira being douchebags to them, and now live out lives of crime using their high-tech know-how. It basically means they can get away with debauchery, hedonism and self-gratification on an epic scale, by ripping up unprotected corporate targets. The revolutionary bollocks is cross-contamination from the Hellfire Legion.

Rheinland doesn't want Liberty destroyed either, although that would probably suit them fine if it did happen. They're not the aggressors. They just want Liberty to stop setting bags of poop alight in their borderworlds.

Also, this thread was brought up a few weeks ago on exactly the same subject. A near identical example was used, too. It's so adorable that the reaction is so much more positive to the OP's opinion this time. :)

I would love an official definition of 'allying' too.

Maybe it's because in this example, I didn't explode. Generally when a thread appears shortly after the OP has exploded, it tends to receive a somewhat eye-rolling responce.

That said, the response to this isn't exactly what I anticipated either, and there are some responces that mystify me.

That said, I'm going to run off and discuss a couple of things with el admin team tomorrow. First being adding a rule regarding conneticut and basing from it into the rules in a more explicit manner, rather than just saying "It's covered by X rule/Y precedent".

The other is finding a method of wording what should be common sense, in a manner which isn't either overly restrictive, or so loose it leaves people open to do whatever the hell they want, regarding the term 'ally'.

Also Jammi, I agree with what you said about the Hackers.

I'm not sure why you mention you share the same ID. The Indy Pirate ID is a generic ID, in no way does having it mean you are part of a group or have to treat another bearer of the ID in a positive manner. Basically by saying that you are trying to strawman.

As to the real meat of your questions: Who says Anna didn't have her own agenda by shooting the Indians? You're a larger gang. Having you removed means she has less competition on her turf. Helping them shoot you might also been a survival choice. I don't consider it allying. You only consider it allying because you got killed.

I think the issue Joe has is that this wasn't a spur of the moment I'll help the RM shoot LN because it helps me or I'll help the RM because if I don't they will shoot me. This was, a Hey the RM are shooting the LN, lets go shoot the LN too!

Seeing as common sense isn't so common a more clear definition on the term ally would be great.

well you would choose the one that gives you the best benefits:

Indies: less LN why would they mind that? they cant take out LN alone so its pretty logical they try n take down some Cops/navy's.

OC: let's see, why wouldnt we help the navy of a part we never go to exterminate the navy of the part where navy stops our cardi trade. therefore -> less LN = more cardi profit. less RM -> no profit. in the worst case RM takes over liberty n we have the same situation as before. its either win-win or just the same as always

RM: the most logical one of all, its a war, they want to win it. i refer to the figure of speech "all is fair in love and war" the more people taking down their enemies the better, they only win from this situation

In short: i'm sorry joe, dont see a single reason why they wouldnt work toghetter....
