If you put it that way...maybe
+ It may help pirates a bit as they can destroy and loot NPC transports, i know, won't give much money, but hey, it could be fun when you are bored

The gate blockers are a real pain, and it seriously messes up things from time to time. If there's any way at all to solve it, I think most players would be very happy.

If all NPC's were removed, it would feel really empty in all systems. They are needed for the general feeling. And they sure RP better than some!:D
There are some weird things, however. Like the game lagging a bit when Npc's spawn. Especially when caps spawn. And I've always found it strange that you can fire a SNAC or a heavy mortar at a base, and it's still green to you, but fire a CD... RED ALERT! That's just weird!
So maybe reducing the number of hostile(military) NPCs and adding more civilian/transport ships that remain in the system and won't go trough a jump gate will solve things up a bit?
Guard NPCs are like I said above a mess sometimes, especially with those CDs, or when you want to RP and they spawn from nowhere...
