'Cause only a rational mind can realise that humanity in it's current form is on a path to selfdestruction. Why not accellerate that development? That is what science does after all...
Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.

The virus will eventually evolve, or change at least, naturally to resemble something like the strain they created.
If they have a strain they can work with now, the chances of finding a vaccine or something to combat it are greater.
I know you are going to get a gun soon.
So I get a gun now and try find ways to combat it.
Does make sense scientifically.
They aren't so much worried about terrorists to be honest, viruses etc can 'weaponise' themselves easily enough without us interfering.

Did you know Barrack Obama was the Antichrist?
As we all believe everything the media says these days, whether right or left on the spectrum. They all lie. They will print whatever brings them more customers, money and power. The idea of media reporting without fear or favour is a joke. The problem is, the jokes on us!
One small note: Scientists are never crazy. They're mad. The proper term is mad.
OK. So Anyway, rule number one to follow when consuming American-filtered news:
Always keep in mind that every major corporate news giant is driven solely by ratings alone & the way they do it is to entertain, frighten & sensationalize; each with their own style of spin.
What you have here is just common fox-flavored 'Appeal to Fear' propaganda.
Quote:An appeal to fear (also called argumentum ad metum or argumentum in terrorem) is a logical fallacy in which a person attempts to create support for their idea by playing on existing fears and prejudices.
Read it again & count how many times the article the article preys on fear...
sounding the alarm...highly-contagious and deadly...capable of killing millions...terrorists or rogue states...a global pandemic...reverse engineer the virus...the information is dangerous...created by a Dutch team of scientists...transmitted through the air...ect.
Just take the showbiz with a grain of salt & allow me to put your fears to rest: you are far more likely to die horribly in a vehicle accident than in some bioterror attack. If those odds ever change, you could worry more about it at that time if you like...till then, you should look to get your info from less propagandic outlets whre you can find 'em.

I see what you did there.

FoxNew. Although I don't live in America. I have often heard about qualms on the "reliability" of FoxNews.
Yeah. According to stereotyping available here, I wouldn't believe too much if I were you.
heh! I knew someone would notice eventually I slipped that in there:D
Also, it's not just foxnews that has reliability issues, it's all of them.
Next time you notice a 'breaking' story that gets latched onto by every network, watch how they all report it.
Each & every one of 'em will fall over one another in order to be the 1st network to break the latest info over the other guy while the actual 'facts' are a lower priority. Story corrections hours to days later are commonplace with every channel.
