Most of bases on Disco won't stand long. This is my opinion. And I build a few bases this year.
It will just vanish in time. Because it takes an effort to maintain a base even if it is done by a group. It's just take to much of real life time.
How many bases was build on disco? If 1/4 of that is still alive I would say it is great. I personally fill much better being "base free"
So don't worry people time will solve this. I see in future a limited quantity and type of bases.
- Bases with a RP background 1-2 in every house and maybe faction.
- Commercial centers - mostly used as ore depot, a pretty limited amount of those because we have limited number of good ore fields.
- Temporary bases - to build a few cloaks, jump drives and let it explode.
And it was not destroyed by reengagers (since when can repairships and immortal bombers kill a base? Neglection kills bases).
Chuck Norris did it.
But as we know: Cannon > Norris
What is this supposed to mean? Did you own that base or something?

I can't believe you find self admission of rule breaking and metagaming worse than this part:

Jesus Christs its just a frikkin game. More than a couple of people here seem to have totally lost perspective on that.
Remember when Barges were admin approved only? I see no problem in base builders being the same way.
Having an established RP enviroment helps in clearing the hurdles to get to the actual ownership.
As stated above, the Corsairs have 3 player bases spread out all over. Given the materials they have at present, only one base makes sense which in turn can become most supported. Same with the Outcasts and if I recall, they only have, 1 playerbase total.
In turn a lot of headaches from all parties would be gone if a little bit more incentive was taken to regulate such.

The last base siege I was on we were engaged repeatedly by the same Zoner BS repeatedly undocking from the base being assaulted until eventually an admin had to come on and ban the account. Still, didn't stop him coming back on his RNS account ... and then repeatedly attempting to restock the base with the same type of transport ship with the same guns, cargo and equipment only the name was slightly different every time it got blown appart trying to rush dock the base in the 1/4 of a second the shields were down.
This is happening because independent players have no rights on this server. And they become angry and start to cheat. This is an act of despair. I say this from my experience.
And this is sad. Even in Coronado, that should be a freelancers place you can't do nothing because it's claimed by CR. People are forgetting that freelancers along with official players are a part of this community. And if no one will think about they rights they will just leave. And sadly it's happening. I remember 2-3 years ago it was times I couldn't enter the server because it was full. Now I didn't seen it full for very long time. You guys are forgetting you was a noob once.

I was expecting such an non constructive answer. If some one do not follow your personal will this doesn't mean he have no right to live (and your will could be wrong by the way).
Just count every day how many Indies and how many officials are on server. You want to say that all that people who don't have a tag should be thrown away from server?
With whom you will play then?
This server has established itselfe over more than 5 years.
It has made Server Rules, by those you have to play or GTFO, simply said.
Then there are InRP rules that have been set up by the Goverment and other bigger groups (aka Sairs OC).
Most of those you can look up in the Wiki, or on the forums.
It may take a while to get to the Forums, I know it took me a fair while.
But if people just straight out refuse to play by the rules other people have established before you came to be on the Server.
Well then bo fricking ho.
My thoughts on that.
“This font is good people said, this font is awesome others said, I say it works well enough to waste 2 seconds of your life reading this.”
I think this just shows how we have to remove rules which can be broken and replace them with gameplay mechanics which cant. Example: If we had shiploss or money loss on death, we wouldnt need a 4 hour rule, as the money loss would be the punishment instead, thus people wouldnt be able to break the re engaging rule as we wouldnt have one.

Everybody has the right to live.
I have many characters without a tag.
My will is always right because I say so.
End of discussion.
