Some other very strange thing just happened to me:
some 10k from the Magellan JG in California. I met a Liberty Rogue GB patrol! (GB was lvl 19, two fighters lvl11). I have screens if you think I'm crazy in the head :)They blew up the trader I was pirating also.
Did you just add them somehow?
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
I am guessing that those Rogues were from a patrol path that is very rarely crossed by players when the server is not well populated by players.
I was on earlier today, and I did some missions to see what affect it might have on the server. I am pleased to say I saw nothing resembling the lag symbol at all during those missions, and everything proceeded smoothly, except the 5 Bounty Hunter destroyers I had to kill in my Raven's Talon (with a Train CD...). That was a pain. But I noticed a lot of Titans hanging around Crete and when I was on my way to and from missions.
I just wish we could keep the processor installed now... but I am sure that as always in the computer industry, something better will come along quite soon.
Correct. Getting a Q6600 wont help. What FLserver needs is a CPU with more processing power per core. Q6600 is the same compared to E6300 (relatively speaking), and OC's the same. E8400 OC's a lot more, and is more efficient in comparison (and costs the same).
Just for reference, the CPU usage during server operation is =~ 70%, and that is while the server is full.
Until FLserver turns onto a fully multithreaded app, we will have to stick to that formulae.
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )

I guess nobody, source codes were never released...
I was wondering about src too - would have been a (pleasant) surprise! :-(

I'm sorry for my ignorance on this, but who owns the source code?
We can try to address those guys and maybe get the source code, due to the time that had passed and the fact that the global server list will be off soon, there is a chance we could get it.
