That was a faction-thing. You won't see a wild ship in New York neither for example.

Introduce seperate Wilde IDs for non-house and house space and open them for the general use. Faction wilde can go whenever and engage whoever in whatever, indie wilde can use up to a gunboat and pew around borderworlds, rheinland and kusari.

Silent engaging and free pvpwhoring right after we got rid of "may treat as combat target" in 99% of cases? Thanks but no.

I'm against any "can engage freely" IDs, especially if they have unlimited ZoI. Be it restricted or not.
Wilde shouldn't be running around killing people as if they were terrorist, not caring about whether they are seen or not. Their main goal should be infiltration. They are too few for getting themselves exposed and killed.

I don't think opening up the ID to indies is a good idea. With Nomads you at least have them in an area where few "soft targets" fly around. Wilde would make Rheinland and surrounding space even more hostile and unwelcoming than it is now. We already had a thread about "dead Rheinland". If there are Wilde in or even just hanging outside of Rheinland all day long, being allowed to shoot everyone they wish to shoot on sight (after short RP engagement), it'd not improve the situation in the slightest.

Overall I'd prefer the Wilde to be much less "we just kill everyone wherever we wish" and instead more along the lines of the infiltrators, at best picking off some lonely trader or adventurer, who happened to have collected a nomad remain.

Ehm... no.

Opening the Nomad ID is okay in Omicrons, one can argue, so the "Bad lurking out there in the periphery" can be portrayed. It's far out. People know the dangers, etc... and even there the main focus on pew action has been criticised by those who rp there - and they have a point.

Having something like sneaky Wilde as simple pew toys (bc that is what these open IDs become) in e.g. Omegas is not desirable. Don't forget the difference between Omicrons and systems with trade arteries like O3, O7 (technically not house space), mining sites like O11 and other important tradehubs that should not be handed over to pewpew-engage-everything IDs.

God forbid one would actually have to put effort in their roleplay both through ingame activity and participation on the forums by sharing a thought out story, for being granted a limited ID and even then risk the approval might fail.

Generation -I want-. Put in nothing, demand everything.
Life doesn't work like that.

Go buy yourself an iWant if you want it so much.

Still funny to see the usual bunch flipping out over their currently 'super-safe' mining situation changing. The Omegas, Taus and Sigmas deserve more danger-factors.

And please, infiltration, Syrus? Didn't know Scorpion drones were aimed for that. Lame excuses.
