The Corsairs WISH it was unknown, and delude themselves into thinking it... but it's not. My latest RP*, though, my character gambles his way into landing rights on Crete. THAT would be the hard part -- landing on the Corsair base. Moving through is easy...

The jumpholes are meant to be hard to find and probably not on official maps, but there are consistent rumours of their existance on the Freeports in Omega 41 and Omicron Theta. They aren't totally unknown.
EDIT: Also there is a closer JH: in omega-5 I think, the omega-3 JH is within sight range of another one (<2.5k=ridiculous)
However, from personal experience the NPCs from each area know where the jumpholes are (except for some added in discovery but not updated into rumors) and are sometimes willing to sell their location. I think it would be fair to say that a patient, personable trader or special ops would know the routes where they operate, and if they needed something would feel comfortable taking them, as long as they were on friendly terms with BHG. (I've tried open-SP as unfriendly with them; they're EVERYWHERE... and incredibly stupid, as the link shows)
It's evident from one of those Info-people from the bar that the Corsairs keep Gamma a secret through the use of force. Anyone leaking the location of the jumphole would most likely die a horribly accidental death.
"What? What's Gamma ... Never heard of it."
"But you can see the Jumphole from the window..."
"I NEVER HEARD OF IT!"
My vote gets the Cambridge -> O 5 -> Theta route, as it doesn't go through any guard systems, or any forbidden systems. Also, from the bars around Cambridge, it seems as though the Brets don't know exactly where the Jumphole is, but they know it's inside the ice cloud.
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

Well, according to a little lady on Crete, it's not exactly accidental...
("Ever been keelhauled through a jump-hole in a Vac-Suit before?")
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
well its only a game guys and remember they are jump holes not gates so jump gates are put some where and jump holes are anomalies so they can be anywhere its a shame they dont disappear and reaper in different locations
