For heavier VHF's, maybe torpedo mounts should be swapped to missile mounts so that said heavy VHF's don't have to choose between a gun and a missile?

This is what I want

1) HF torpedo mounts replaced with cd and/or missile mounts
2) Keep the mini-razor (which should be renamed to mini-snac)
3) Keep one ammo-based fighter torpedo that does 20k and has a >10 second refire rate

No point in using torpedoes with fighters now, except if it's pulse torpedo, like Mini Incapacitator Torpedo. Should be easy to hit a cruiser with it, but not that easy to hit a gunboat. I was always unhappy to see my screamers floating stupidly after all those cruisers.

Must-have for pirate VHF teams. Should be very nice against battle transports, as poor ships have no CMs. I guess Mini Incapacitator Torpedo should have pretty high energy demands, to give traders some chance.

In my eyes, torpedos shouldnt be Anti-snub weapon at any way.
Id more like them to see anti-transport ones. GBs in my eyes shouldnt be much vulnerable to torpedos, because of high agility and decent defencive systems. Transports slow and defenceless and can be nice targets for torps.

VHF piracy is needed, and its not really possible without some kind of torpedo

Seems to me like the best idea. It will also keep missiles quite balanced since that way people will have to choose either missile or CD (and remove the silly double CD-torp slots from HFs, they aren't supposed to even be able to mount a torp)

that I had a pirate Marauder with a torp in .86 and it did nicely. with all do respect I fail to see your logic.

i've seen valeria benitez nova a fleeing hessian and instakill him. CD's are overrated.

Imo, I think fighter torpedoes are a useless thing that shouldn't even be in Disco, they're just a leftover from Vanilla. Now that we have bombers, they serve little to no purpose.

Take away the torpedo for fighters and replace it with something more cool/useful, even another CD slot perhaps.


EDIT: Mainly talking about the Starkiller and Sunslayer here. The Inferno and Mini Razor are still useful anti-snub weapons.
