When I wrote that part about the best ships being POB-built, it was written with the idea that if a faction can only get their ships from POBs, POBs would become more attractive group pvp targets. (Leading to a redesign, making POBs easier to both build and destroy).
I hadn't considered that this would turn into a 'hey let's let official factions dictate who can fly what ship' discussion.

Obviously, all of this is moot if they can't get POBs working right. I guess I didn't feel it was necessary to mention that.

I'd love to see things like this, would make the whole "Deliver x to y to build z" RP less laughable.
I for one would like to see limitations on caps too, but eh, I don't put that forward as my main point in this post.

Pay (credits) to win is not something we should want.

It's bad enough that Cap 8s feel more-or-less mandatory and are stupidly expensive.

I support the idea of POB ship sellpoints. Like rare to come across ships (which is always a matter of opinion). And allow ANY ships, consider it all inrp. Within reason though, so you wouldnt find LN base selling a hathor, but you might find a freelancer or other faction doing so. That way if the Order didnt license it (as example) it would provoke an inRP response towards the base.

But restricting caps from indie's is something only someone playing for years would support, whereas its easy to say that now that you've been there and done that. Remember you were an indie once yourself. If you want to work for your indicap by all means do it.

But a few could be restricted maybe. Nephilim restricted to only Livadia and a properly applied Zoner POB would make ok sense. Or since if i recall it is now Livadia only, it would just allow for adding more sellpoints through POB's.
