How so?

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

I think we have official definition:

Quote:...everyone to be excellent to one another. Consider the people around you. Keep fair play in mind. It's a game and nothing is gained, or lost, save the experience. Credits can be re-earned. Ammunition replenished. If you become infuriated step away. If you make a mistake apologize. If you wish to remain in system after you die, or after someone has moved away, simply ask.
Fair play, a level head and consideration for others are paramount. The rules are not a sword or shield to be used for or against someone, but to ensure that the server environment has structure and allows everyone to have fun....

We have official definition and yet it doesn't helps or was helpful in past. It isn't enforced in any way around in actual game so what we're talking about? It's just some words written on the forum - they don't have any, yes, any power or influence of any sort over the actual ingame gameplay.

because of people, who don't consider the common sense as a valid rule.
if we deny it as a rule of conduct, because of not everybody abide it, then nobody will abide it at all.
slight sense is better than nonsense and anarchy.

5) Be forgiving. The entire population of the server isn't out to make your life a living hell (unless you're really asking for it). Try and be considerate of what the other players you're interacting with are experiencing.

Funny, especially lately, a significant amount of people ( vets and newbies alike ) seem to forget about these two rules.

You have no right to enforce your own interpretation of "common sense" on others.

Common sense is when Molly shoots you, you don't dock on Molly base.

Common sense is when your ship gets destroyed, you don't return in 10 seconds and shoot the same guy again.

Common sense is that Corsair won't use Bretonian,Rheinland,Outcast weapons.

Common sense is helpful if you know the lore, if you don't its a video game without any meaning.

Also popular opinion =/= common sense, which you'll notice many times in real life.

This - so much - i claim that everybody has at least some kind of common sense in real life with a solid enough overlap, but here on disco people actively throw it overboard for a multitude of reasons, knowing that they won't get punished for another multitude of reasons.

Originally i wanted to say that common sense in disco is to behave and play the game as if the other chars you meet are either your granny, mommy or baby sister ....thenagain, someone would find a lame excuse to behave like a douche in this case as well, neglecting his common sense what the actual point of the remark is Big Grin

Read about: The Benitez Familia and Trueno Benitez

---Not available for any disco stuff these days(and for an extended period of time to come, too ---

An empty phrase used as a rhetorical fallacy.
