I think you think some far. We won't intend to create another universe or dimension into disco. it just defines our background and a potential end. What is between this is in the current standard and dimension of discovery.

What makes it that much different , when the ALPHA code and the Consensus originated from another dimension and didn't come from another system? I personally don't see a lot difference in this as both have the same RP element to be "arrived" in a foreign region.

I've had many a decent RP experience with other characters as a friendly indie AI. It's already nearly impossible to avoid being shot as an AI as it is. Slapping the main faction with such a large target for everyone to shoot at will make that considerably harder.

I used the boltzmann brain model to sculpt my character's story, try and expand with your ideas perhaps.

"It make the AI storyline dependant mainly on the AI storyline?" there wasn't an official AI storyline before we reached official dom. The ones of harvesters in example were dropped as i remember right.

If you took my (fairly) legitimate question as sarcasm rather then a question, I can only apologise for the way I apparently misphrased it. The point still stands, and I'd still like an answer to it. When a new concept spring from essentially thin air which can potentially have very widespread effect, I want to know if it's done with some degree of understanding of what it entails.

As for what I mean with dependancy, it's pretty much what I stated. Instead of integrating the AI with the FL lore, it creates an entirely different reason for them to exist in the first place, which is completely detached from the entire FL universe and which solely exists because you wanted it to. If you could make it more integrated and explain just how this dimensional travel actually works, and why it's restricted to non-biological lifeforms in such a way, I'd be more inclined to accept the storyline as-is. Until then, it's still a no from me.

I voted no, as the whole trans-dimensional aspect puts me off a bit. Even so, I wish you luck in developing your RP.

My main question concerns how you'll relate to others. I have an indie AI with her own RP, and I'm not looking to change that. Provided you don't try to impose your soft science-fantasy stuff on me, we'll get along fine.

Hass, I'm only a fan of the hard science fiction. Star Trek, Star Wars and Mass effect saga are my favorite non-book science fiction historys for example, but when comes the moment of criticize them I have no mercy.

Fine. Then for what logical reason the gate allow the travel of physical objects if the objective of it's construction is bring an non physical being? You have to clarify this part. Or Nymalis send scouts to other dimension looking for his next launch or you modified the gate. Something.

A terrible argument. That maybe true in concensus original dimension but here (at least in Sirius). Nymalis depends on the local beings of the dimension to enter so the optimal strategy isto be able to control any remotely setient thing posible. You can solve this by saying than that natural mental processes are too redundant for an efective control.

Plus. There are some living spieces ON EARTH than doesn't seems to age. They are cnidaries of course but an inmortal setient being is actualy a posibility.

I remember you than the Nomads blew up our sun xD
They are expanded to at least part of the old Don Kabosh territory. Maybe they are isolated now but they are not only here.

A solution to my point would be for exaple saying that Sirius is in a special place in the universe for some reason. For example is the equivalent in our Dimension where in yours the Dimensional gate was build.

Saying we came from another galaxy and not from another dimension doesn't make a difference at all for us individually, but makes the whole storyline corrupt and obsolete.

On the contrary, it opens another set of possibilities than you are simply ignoring right now.

It disappoints me that you want to participate in the AI Consensus, but it seems you haven't read the lore in detail.

Also: Why Nymalis should stop with one initial infected? An asteroid could destroy it a few moments after the infection.

And what do you intend with all of this? Bringing "back" the Alpha code? Create new infectees for your faction to fight against because you can't find enough activity in current Disco? Will you roleplay that you will be enough to stop them? If so, how would that add to the overall content of the storyline other than as a small episode of AIs fighting eachother? If not, what will you do if the rest of the server won't play along with your story and eventually the infectees will construct the dimensional gate due to that? Will you force Nymalis on the server? Or will you be the infectees themselves? What will you do if nobody will try to stop you building that gate? Bring Nymalis?

At this point it starts to sound like what the Judges attempted by retconning themselves some ancient history to look a bit more significant than what they used to be at that time.

What is the difference between organic and inorganic machnies? Only the material used in construction, but if complexity matches, it matters none if the life-form is biological or not... seriously, at that point what do you call biological and by what you call that biological?

So the Nomad Hypergate in Omicron Major has always been a decoration all this time, right? Not like it would serve as a connection between Nomads dwelling a lot of other sectors on the Milky Way, no...

That you can do interstellar travel while staying in the same dimension is a quite significant difference between the two. Mostly because a galaxy and a dimension are not on the same level, rather a galaxy is within/on a dimension.
