I'm not the one to tell you when you bend the rules too much. You should know yourself. *wink*

A more intersting question is - is it wrong to be in discovery for the RP?
But to answer your question:
If you're in it to compete in a space-shooter and measure your skill againt others. Fine
If you're in it to 'pwn-da-noobs'. Well.. I refer to my original comment.
Basically

I hope you don't think this is my point of view.
Is I said earlier, I don't mind competition or battles if both parties are in on it.
I generally get more upset by the manner in which I die, rather than just getting killed in and of itself.
Getting shot down legit by an obvious ace pilot - aggravating but certainly expected.
Being an idiot and blowing myself up with my own nova torpedo - totally pisses me off.
Getting overwhelmingly ganked - depending on the ships and circumstance, this could possibly be the most outright angering. Seriously, though, 2, 3, maybe even 4 vs 1 I can.accept. 6,7+ vs 1 is ridiculous.

Come on, you talk bout vets pwning noobs. How does he even that the opposite party is a noob, unless he is already fighting him. As I said earlier, you are not aware of the person that engages you, unless you have a full PvP session with him.
Also, define your meaning of RP, so that I can explian it better to you. People here, come to PvP, its an integral part of the game, and without it, the server will be dead except for a few "so called" RP elitists like you.
As long as they have said RP before PvP, it is fine and within the rules. It is nowhere near what you claim to be bending the rules to their own will. Explain further on your points instead of trying to RP in a OORP thread and showing off your actions here. Enough has been damn well explained to you and you cant get over the fact that PvP done with enough RP is fine and if not enough RP is put into it before engagement, you have the said right to report him.
If you cant beat a guy in PvP, practice in connecticut and if you dont like PvP at all, do as I said, fly a holy character. If you are not willing to swallow these "bitter-for-you" things the server has evolved itself into and dont want to adapt yourself into it, try playing in another server and see if it is good. This is primarily a space shooter, nothing can change that.
Also, many who are speaking here and who you claim to be PvP vets have also, at one point of time, began in this server as a civilian shuttle or a starflier, who doesnt know the very basics of PvP. They adapted to it, and practiced to become as what you claim they are. Instead of whining in the forums that "I am a newbie and I dont want to PvP, because all the time I lose and vets keep on picking on me cause I am noobish at PvP", you can take your ship for a ride in Connecticut and train. There are many people who are willing to help you in that aspect. I was and am still poor at PvP, but I never do whine about ganking and getting blown up always, instead I train in Connecticut at least twice in a week. So, stop all this and start practicing, my kindest advice.

I see, so you'll just dodge my genuine question about when you bend roleplay by rather regarding rules and such. Fair enough.
EDIT: Because I"m certain I haven't broke any rules, but I have also shot a ton of people. So I'm curious if I'm bending my roleplay just to shoot people

Judging people based on their registration date and postcount is one of the worst things you can do. Just after judging people by their age.
Step in line you 2012er fool.
@C293saueasudsah something
Regardless, then I think people who wish to avoid being shot, should then fly relatively neutral characters that can't pose a threat.
I don't have ill meaning with that, but it simply doesn't make sense that when enemy soldiers meet up in space and one decides to shoot the other after doing some minimal RP and say he was wrong.
If you don't wish to get shot by the enemy, don't fly as a military character?
I mean, it's a military. Literally the military's RP is to shoot things. And be shot too.
Now, talking about ooRP attacks to drive someone out of the server - I don't think that just because I saw there were people in, lets say Tau-23, and decided to log my Reaver to check it out it means I want to drive them out of playing. It means I saw there were people there and I wanted to have interaction with them, I couldn't even know they are hostile.
And if you talk about intentionally killing someone by switching characters in order to drive the player out of playing the server, well, that's a sanction-able offense that happened to certain players in the past.
Some people don't like losing Amit, some are just scumbags who don't want to give out blue, some quickdock because it's inRP to do that...
It all depends from player's attitude. Yes, this is roleplay game, this is space shooter, and opinions in fair fights or RP realism issue will always differ in the community.
