I've been thinking about this... How about a different story away from sirius might make it even easier for Admins so they don't have to remodel every Planet and maps. So basicly Nomads kinda get too stronk and Humans have to run away again with Sleeper Ships, the Houses with all their Corporations. The Coalition with their allies, Hessians, LWB, Bundschuh and so on. The Corsair would perform a Hispanic Sleeper Ship with their Allies too, the Colonials with their allies (please leave gallia back and let them die pls :|). The Outcasts would probably stay with the Nomads for now. Once they reach Star Citizen's sector (the sector where you are in Star Citizen) they build a new start, the nomads for the beginning wont be around, but to not leave them out we can still have the Wilde around there like somehow managed to get into a Sleeper Ship and followed them. This way it's easier than making Nomad Models since there is no only ship control but you need a pilot and a human flying a Nomad ship is just weird so for the beginning we could start like that. Discovery 5.0 "A New Beginning". This is just for the start, after that of course we can start figuring out how to implement nomad stuff and change planets and all the mechanics.

We could change Sol and make it in ruins, but we wont be jumping there, but those who want to find it. I'm sure we can remove the planets in Sol and make it empty.

Of course later on we could wide out the map back into Sirius and see ruins of all the Stations, Bases and Ships and most of them would be nomad infected. That way, the nomads would slowly come back again and I'm sure until then we'll be able to figure how to implement the nomads back again and of course the Outcasts.

Well, what I would like to see for SC are the ships made in Sirius. Because come on, I want to fly that Patriot again. Or the Bloodhound. Scimitar works, too. Piranha aswell.
- ANY - ship from Freelancer that will be put in SC will get a kiss from me.
Freelancer remains my favorite game - ever -, so if I'll get to see Disco or at least a FL mod for SC, I would be overjoyed.

IMO, if game fails to creat a proper atmosphere, it's overal fail. Freelancer had tons of stupidness, illogicalness, and crap, yet, game creating a nearly perfect atmosphere. And when atmosphere is created, your mind comes on stage.

Your mind actualy finishing picture, that over there are lots of distant worlds and starts, not just colorfull points on a background images. Your mind takes you into Sirius sector, with filled with mystery, danger and wonders, not just random plane-like things shooting somewhere in colored sky. And as I said already, when such atmoshpere is created, and your mind takes you into game, all other failures in game you might not even notice. Some badly made models, some poor texture job, gliches, or minor bugs, will be NP.

So, I wish to SC to creat a proper gaming atmosphere, not just becoming nothing more than another Super HD eye candy.

Agreed with you. I was about to post something similar to your post. You read my mind ! Smile Many new games nowadays focus a lot on HD eye candy and less on a great storyline and atmosphere.

Yeah but it's much harder to prepare all the Freelancer models and remake the map into Sirius also change alot of designs and Stations, ship models, planets, which will be way more horrible for devs. But assuming that they've built new ship types (the ones from Star Citizen) and moved over to a new Star System, it will make it easier for Devs. Of course later on the Sirius Ships can be implemented back as MK3 versions or something.

In case, you'll like SC, you would not need any Freelancer related stuff there (at least, for earliests periods of time).
You would very appreciate any FL or Disco related stuff, but it would not be something essential for you, just something like: We have it *Disco stuff*- Cool, nice! / We don't have it *Disco stuf*- NP, let's use something else.

In case you will not like SC, you going to keep yourself with Discovery Freelancer and so on.... And it looks like, Im already pointing myself to second groupe.

Don't get your hopes up... I don't know if any of the Devs have any experience with CryEngine. I certainly don't, and I'm personally more interested in exploring the vanilla SC universe than re-creating Freelancer and/or Discovery. Much like with Freelancer, I would expect that it'll take some time (years, even) for fully-fledged mods to appear.
