This server is advertised everywhere and developed by this community, and I'm actually part of this community. I don't want to play on some Russian server, test server or something else, it won't progress as well, it won't attract people as much as main server.
On the other hand, seeing admins who tell me to turn around and look for some other place to play at is just as dissappointing, sorry, man. Do you have any plans for the server, or you perceive things to be fine here?

What I'm telling you is that if you're looking for a server wipe, you need to go elsewhere. Our devs are working their tails off as we speak to push out an update that the entire Staff feels should appeal to the majority of disco players. It will not appeal to you if your eyes are set toward a wipe.

@ RIP Wipes happened before, and they didn't seem to change much. What's the point of spending money for bases, if you can't interact with large factions of players?

I have a lot more interaction with players because of the bases. Just added someone just now to purchase some equipment. I cannot say for others but if i lost everything i have now i would not have a desire to play anymore.

I think Disco could use relaunch, with complete wipe, including all RP positions, etc.

I've been toying with this idea myself. It would definately be an invitation for new and returning players. Way better solution than merging the existing servers as Spazzy suggested.

My opinion is other then yours. Discovery is not my home server, but now I am happy that I can play here and have some fun in space. I came here about year ago, and I saw my home died. Mates, Freelancer is an old game. You simply have to accept the fact, that Freelancer at all is dying. This server is only island of life in this dead space! Just look around.. and look at other servers. You can be happy for over 50+ players playing at same time.. Thats not so bad. Think about it.

So majority of players losing majority of their stuff is better then minority losing access to minority of their stuff.

I can only imagine how many people would not bother remaking their fleets of ships and simply start playing others games.

I wouldn't even be remotely arsed to gather enough credits to buy every BS, cruiser and gb in game, half a dozen cap 8, over hundred snubs and some 40 odd transports. (Please don't ask me why, I just like to buy everything that is, in this game).

And I am pretty sure that there are many people who have a lot more effort in the form of more pixel credits than me, that would just move on to better games (Hi, there are thousands of games that are light years ahead and better than this, and the only reason most of the people play here are due to the friends they have made here). So, yeah, good luck on fantasizing about pulling in a completely fresh playerbase as this 10 year old game managed to, 8 years back, while you simply see the already existing little playerbase fade out of here.

Oh, and this is not 2005. (When Freelancer was THE thing) Proceed your imagination at your own risk.

Stupid thread. Stupid suggestion, and certainly not a new one. Server wipe has been suggested and rejected many times. It's not about to change. Please lock this and let's not entertain it more.
