One thing to take into account. At the time that DW arrived here we DID question about what ships were allowed and which ones were not. We were informed that purchasing ANY house ship was allowed. The carriers were purchased and up until recently no one has said a word. So I guess its perfectly acceptable that after someone purchases a capital ship that a PLAYER can take steps to force another player to lose over 400 million credits.

So what is next..a listing of what factions "control" what ship from battleships all the way down to fighters and then forcing every player to change to a more appropriate vessel.

Mule - what does Crunch or Suzy have to do with BountyHunter BC's entering Gamma? Or you just trying to fan the flames?

It's matter of possible questionable RP, the Liberty Carrier is not something that the SA sell to any tom, dick or harry. That said if suitable RP can be created, why the hell not.

As regards DW controlling cruisers in gamma, only if the cruisers are DW, as it stands there's no corrborating evidence they were and this unrelated matter should probably be taken up with the people flying them not a faction that has no control over the independents.

You asked? Okay, can't blame you then, at least until you say you use something "because its better". And YES, said listing of what factions get to use is getting discussed in every faction creation request and guinea-pig review, and "then forcing every player to change to a more appropriate vessel"? PAH. It's sanctionable to have a bad ship. Need I grab links? If you can give me/admins/the community suitable RP on why you should use House ships now that BHG have an entire ship line, that's great. In fact, it would be awesome, because in order to justify it you'd have to have WICKED AWESOME RP for it, which would doubtless be a good read.


I'd also like to point out that Mule isn't fanning flames, but putting forward a few points (possibly more than intended). Firstly, BHG actually use their own ships. Secondly, there are a lot of capship-using PvP whores with BHG IDs. Don't do that.

I heard something a while back about DW attacking Liberty Navy, while using aforementioned Liberty Carriers. A little piece of me died. If you aren't KoS for being traitors by now, that's something strange. Plus, to keep it RP, if any stolen vessel/irreplaceable vessel due to bad standing with original vendors is destroyed, it should be replaced by one more appropriate to the factions you can still dock with- those Liberty Carriers go under that category.

And YES, I expect you to burn the *ruffles through ship-costs...* 250-odd million per Carrier to replace them with BHG battleships. If nothing else, the BHG ship is better, if not having as much hull. If you are *that* worried about spending money for RP (which shouldn't be a problem at all, *twitch twitch*), then hold a fundraiser. I'm sure enough people are concerned to give you a hand at doing your job as an official faction.

About the money... as you said.. you purchased them ages ago.. when BS cost half the price they do now.

So you if you sell them now.. you actually won't loose anything at all... but yes you will need extra credits to buy the new ones.

About the ships

This is like Corsairs (or whole server) using Taidan bombers where they weren't any else (except RH). Now they are... so whole server switched to their own.

Doesn't really look nice to see DW in Liberty Carriers, Bretonian BS, BHG BC, BHG GBs and Raven Claws

I don't know about the rest of us, but right know there's a ban on buying Outcast Dreadnoughts, which I can actively enforce because it's sold only at Corsica, and I'm thinking about extending it to the Battleship and Destroyer, too (though that will be a dozen times harder).

2 BHG BC's, 1 Liberty BC, one Rheinland Cruiser, Liberty GB, Spatial armed with something purple firing things, Manta armed with Krakens and tizonas..

My bad i forgot some ship's do really suck, so i suppose they are not on list, only the good ship's/weapon's.
And kracken's on a BH ship? Frack i just spent a week in jail for my junker having order gun's. This has to be worse then that.:nono:

Oh and 1 more thing, it was a DW who posted my ship to the admin's for not being RP.:rolleyes:

I saw a DW guy today in Rheinland. He was flying a Lib carrier and I asked him about it. He said he was off to replace it, so I guess at least some of them are taking the initiative.

I don't really want this to turn into a flamefest against *DW*, I personally see no wrong with them (I don't know anything about them either though, no post no the Faction Status Thread - hmm.), I just don't like seeing seeing everyone in Liberty capships - because we are definitely the ones being whored the most. Whether it be Cruiser, Dreadnought, or Carrier, if you're not in the Liberty Navy, you shouldn't have them. Hell, it technically isn't really that hard to "be" in the Liberty Navy nowadays - just get the IFF and ID and you're technically in.

This goes for all House Capital ships (and non-house too, but I'm not sure about each individual faction's policies on that) - all BCs, Cruisers, anything above a Gunboat should be restricted. From what I know, mercs/BHs can use Gunboats.

For the *DW*, here's a question: If you were given the money to replace your ship with a BH Battleship/Battlecruiser, would you? Honestly, too.

I'll wait a day before contacting Suzanna on the forums; I want to catch her online in-game first.

P.S. - Your capships should definitely have fighter support, especially a carrier - two mediocre bombers armed with supernovas could destroy you easily. A lone carrier is just a target waiting to be shot at. IMO, it's butt ugly too.. the BH Battlecruiser (less than 300m), or whichever one it was that looked like a Star Wars blockade runner looks about 20x better.
