Battleship Vs Fighters - Balance

Why can't you just accept that a battleship CAN and WIlL be destroyed by 6 fighters. Where did the need to compare battleships to real life ones or those of other games/movies come from? It's disco's version of a battleship, act like it is and stop comparing it to other similar things. Just think about it as 6 people vs 1 guy.

But send Battlecruiser to 5 bomber squadron, You will lose your battlecruiser

You're comparing a different Sci-Fi universe to Disco, Obviously the game was balanced so that Fighters are no match to Battlecruisers, but this is disco, not Homeworld.

It doesn't really, Homeworld is a different game, different Sci-Fi universe, different lore. it has been said in earlier posts that Fighters can damage Carriers/Battleships (Referring to WW2 Pacific Warfare)

Discovery is a Roleplay game, the only thing different in Disco from Real Life is the Sci-Fi/Technology that doesn't exist in our World. @Antonio- The problem is that Freelancer Discovery (and many sci-fi titles) derives tactic from the Pacific War. This is why such comparison is problematic and usage of that, pretty widely advertised in (almost) all sci-fi universes, is the main backbone of such style of combat. It will be compared with Pacific War tactics, because we just replaced islands with planets, water with space - everything else is almost the same, with carriers, destroyers and all these things around.

In real life, there would be no place for bombers, fighters, carriers, torpedo runs, close-combat and all that - only capital ships and drones in the most possible scenario.

WW2 Fighter had no anti-ship weapons. Only Bombers with torpedo or dive bomb can destroy the carrier and battleships. WW2 fighters was fighting with other fighters and bombers.
WW2 Fighter can't damage any ship except the little gunboats.
Fighters meant to fight with other fighters and bombers.

In the campaign, we've seen 2 Rheinland fighters as they destroyed a Rheinland battleship with a salvo of torpedoes. Technology has evolved since then, for both the battleship and fighters, so it's likely that these scenarios can still occur in Discovery.

So the argument that fighters shouldn't be able to defeat a battleship doesn't really work in the Discovery universe.

In the campaign, we've seen 2 Rheinland fighters as they destroyed a Rheinland battleship with a salvo of torpedoes. Technology has evolved since then, for both the battleship and fighters, so it's likely that these scenarios can still occur in Discovery.

This, technology has evolved.

This means that all those Neutron, Tachyon, Plasma and Lasers weapons can damage any type of Armor, and there is no need for a "higher caliber" to damage stronger armor, it's just that the fighter guns have enough power to damage other fighters and not bigger vessels, but in numbers, it is possible to take down a battleship.
