Well, uh, I guess this answers any questions I had.

The problem with options 2 and 3 are that one side can just bring a ton of good PvPers to the table (see: GRN with bloogaL, Haste, Omicega, and Jayce) or excessively use OP ships (see: RM with Rheinland Cruisers) or cheese tactics (see: LSF with cruiser/gunboat missiles), which'll result in tons of QQ from the side that loses/gets steamrolled/whatever.

The problem with option 1 is that it's just like giving out participation awards. There's no point in logging if the other side will get something even if you win and especially if the event outcome is predetermined (see: Garrett's Thor)

There's really no way you can win this.

I'm seriously curious as to what this means?

At OP, general reaction is similar to |nfrared.

At OP, general reaction is similar to |nfrared.

Talking about stuff like instakill Recyclers, pre-nerf Cougars, capspam, missiles, etc.

Buttcloaking, abusing JDs, and formerly repair ship bottrading all count too. Basically anything that heavily skewers the odds in one's favor without a change or difference in skill level.

Option 3 all the way. Coreport 11 here we go.

Seriously like GRN has the power inRP to stomp liberty right now, in all the past events were GRN battle in NL we have stomped them. GRN should definetly have control over magellan. Expanding into liberty would increase fights/players online which people seem to want. Also people talk about how players should determine the storyline outcome. Player actions in events + option 3 = players determining the storyline Smile. Option 3 would lead to at least the combat/war aspect of the storyline moving at a much faster pace, having something rewarding for you after an event makes more people to log in my opinion.

They are a small wannabe "law" of the Omicrons, its just a meta-gamey power-gamey mess at this point, and you wonder why people have so many quarrels with your faction?

I mean the Outcasts have 2? Ransuers guarding O-85, Corsairs have capitals guarding O-91?????? Order has capitals guarding O-100. Hellfire has a Ransuer and an Arbiter sitting in Vespucci, the Council has 2 redemptions and cruiser patrols sitting in Champagne and even a Redemption in Roussillon(forgive me if I spelled that wrong).

None are house militaries Smile (assuming by house you mean lawful)

please learn to count and visit O-85 again when you're done thinking about how wrong that statement was

Edit: and while the GRN does have the forces to wipe Liberty, they lack the logistical capacity to do so. They're having troubles maintaining leeds, much less extend even further.

Someone's gotta feed those thousands of troops, maintain parts to those hundreds of ships and fuel the reactors. That all doesn't just spawn out of thin air.

Not everything is cap numbers and killing. Welcome to a RP server.

Noted.

(For the next time people assume forces are the only factor on territorial ownership.)

This pretty much sums it up, though it left out another important factor as well. The more popular side will always gain more people, even if it's the predetermined losing side. Open events work in the case of Gallia vs Bretonia and Liberty for example, but you'd never be able to have a legitimate open server HF vs LN, GC vs KNF, or Xenos vs Outcasts battle without the less popular side getting dogpiled.
