Its not elitistism but it is the fact that you to learn over time and experience to handle a already fully functioning faction. The leader obviously also had plans that you might not know about.

Best to start new so it is YOUR faction from the start with YOUR ideas. You can take ideas and build on it though npnp

The fact that it isn't actually a fully functioning faction appears to be the reason this thread exists. In light of that, the previous leader's intentions probably don't count for much.

You seem to forget that when faction leaders leave and faction itselfs collapses, the faction and content in it automatically belongs to the Administration and Dev Team - so that wouldn't be an issue to allow guys to operate from original account, given they are going for officialdom as Deep Space Engineering.

Also, I bet reason behind using Deep Space Engineering account is lack of ability to make any logical variant to name of this faction, like in case of Ageira - issue mostly connected to IFF.
