That would nerf the hell out of caps to the point of no usage. That would force fleets to rely more on coordination and numbers 2 things discovery lacks so much its funny.

Don't get how it would stop you from killing BSs. As this amount of stuff that is repaired by bots would be added to hull. Both you and your enemy would see how far is from destroying the opposite vessel.

It makes sense if small snubs are repaired. It makes no when big BS turns from 5% hull to 100%.

But other than that I haven't heard any reasonable argument against it except that it somehow nerfs caps.
It looks more like a buff even since it becomes easier to fly them because you can't forget to hit the button.
Please do not do that, because this game will loose a lot if you do so.
I know that shields regenerate and makes fights longer, and nanobots used to make it last longer too
but there is a way to disable that .. It's called "Elite PVP" so ask your opponent just what most of us do, and if you both agreed that you won't use nanobots, then enjoy
but removing it completely from caps or disable the generation of shields for snubs is not a good idea from my prospective. Cheers

No scylla bug anymore as well.
Frankly, I don't see anything against testing it. Devs can just backup the old files and restore them if something goes wrong. Let people live with it for two weaks lets say. In the meantime ask for opinions both on forums and in-game as there are a few guys who are playing, but don't visit forums.

But the amount of hull regenerated in time will be still there, so fight will last for the same time unless you mean getting instakilled. And frankly not-using bots while having them is for trainings in conn.

No. If you want to remove nanos from caps, you must buff their hull at least for 3 times then, NOT including CAUs.
But then, bombers as bombers will begin to be useless and transform into assault fighters with snacs.
But as i said before, do it if you dare - and Freelancer will become Eve Online ore Elite: Dangerous
Operator, this was already addressed. The OP states to remove the nanobots AND add their repair factor as HP to the original ship. The effective HP of the ship will not change. In most cases you will at least not die with full Bots when a BS with triple HMs uncloaks behind your cruiser.

Yep, multiplying armour by 3 would be an HUGE buff. Removing bots doesn't change much in fact.
And both snacs and torps would be the same effective as they are right now
