Good news and bad news.

First, good news: I had the pleasure or welcoming Mr. Michael Roseman (Nidhoggr), captain of the Waterford to our ranks this evening. We set him up and then did a nice run to Rheinland and back. Please welcome Mr. Roseman if you see him in space; extend our HGL hospitality!

We, too, engaged the services of Mr. Tarkis - what a coincidence! He is a fine fellow.

WARNING

Bad news: While setting Mr. Roseman up in Leeds, we came across two Borderworld Transports, Cyber and Tye. Both were fully loaded with Plutonium, heading in a trajectory that indicated Kusari. I asked, in system chat, if they knew that was illegal under Bretonian law. They responded angrily, accusing me of needlessly advertising their presence. No pirates were in the area that I know of, so they needn't have worried, unless they were operating illegally.

Anyway, upon returning from our trade run - taking diamonds to Leeds - we encountered them again, upon which they - in their transports! - began attacking me. I called Tarkis from the planet, and we managed to wear the Cyber down such that he had to land. I landed thereafter to restock on bots/bats, during which time Tarkis' ship was destroyed. I relaunched, and Mr. Roseman and I made it safely to Kensington.

I am reporting this incident to BPA. I advise extreme caution if you encounter them in system. Do not engage, and do not initiate conversation.

Today the Wolverhampton was in Cambridge. There was an OPG terrorizing the area and demanded money from the Wolverhampton. The Wolverhampton paid because he was outgunned. Later the QCO and the BPA called for backup to engage the same pirate. I was called in and we enaged. We had him outnumbered and he fleed the scene. I then returned to my post at Kensington.

The pirates shall not be tolerated in the disruption of HGL vessels.

Today has been a trying day. I was en rout to dortmund with Beryllium when my escort Mr. Cage Reported 3 OPG ahead. Strange thing is they diddnt want a "donation", they were only thirsty for blood. Cage held them off while i fled back to Planet Cambidge to save the cargo. I then called in Security Officer Marcus Johanson and he met up with Cage and they engaged. Johanson took several hits and ejected and Cage barely escaped with his life.

They left in glory and Cage returned to Cambridge where we continued our journey but were on alert for more hostiles.

The Wolverhampton security logs picked up this transmission:

Subject: OPG Encounter

First off, i would like to apologize for taking so long to report this.
Mr.Pullman has filed a report on this incident already, but it was suggested that i file one as well.
And i agree with that, so here i am.

Now, down to the actual report.

Captain Jack Pullman of the Wolverhampton and I were attempting to pass through Omega-3, during a trade run. As is the usual protocol for HGL escorts, i went through the gate first to make sure the way was safe.

Three members of the infamous Omega Pirate Guild were on the other side waiting.
I immediately told Mr.Pullman to not enter the gate, and went back through myself, in hopes that the OPG wouldn't follow, since they had not seen the transport yet.
I came through back into Cambridge, and was soon followed by the three OPG pilots.
As soon as the first one came through the gate, he announced that it was an ambush.
Soon after i was engaged by the OPG.
The Wolverhampton was safely away, so i decided to disengage and leave.
I attempted to enter the trade lane, but they disrupted it, and i had to stay and try to dodge the shots of three Corsair bombers.
This was repeated several times, at different sections of the lane, so i finally gave up and fought back.
I have no idea how much time passed during this fight, but what i do know is that another pirate joined into the battle at some point. I do not remember his name, or his affiliation. All i know is that he was piloting a Corsair very heavy fighter class ship.
Mr.Johanson of HGL's security wing also joined the fight after my many attempts to leave, but again i don't know exactly when.
After another unknown amount of time passed, Mr.Johanson was forced to eject after his ship sustained heavy damage.
Soon after, i was able to destroy one of the OPG's bombers that Mr.Johanson helped me weaken.
Then, something i would never have suspected, the OPG offered to let me leave.
They gave me their word that they would not chase, so i left.

I don't know if the OPG will continue to pirate HGL convoys, but i do believe that they will at least think twice before doing so.
