Subject: New ship
My crew and i have decided to buy a larger vessel in which to trade. Today we docked at HGL shipyard and handed in our beloved Percheron and traveled to Planet Cambridge to aquire a new Firefly.
This, we are sure, will add to the HGL fleet and maybe someday an even bigger ship will be on the cards.

Subject: New ADTO Position
Gentlemen,
With our growing trade fleet, Mr. Koch (DTO) and I have determined the need for an additional Assistant Director of Trade Operations (ADTO). Mr. Idaho has done an excellent job in his ADTO position, but he cannot be on duty 24/7. Therefore, effective immediately, we are taking applications - in-house - for this position.
ADTO responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Set up and train new trader captains
2. Compile research on potential trade routes and report on these to the DTO
3. Command convoys if the DTO or CEO are not present
4. Assist the DTO and CEO in other responsibilities as needed
If you are interested, please PM me with a CC to Mr. Koch (Baconsoda) the following information:
1. Why your are interested in the position
2. What you would bring to the position
3. Ideas for improving our current Trade Division
We are looking for mature, responsible leadership here //(and a commitment to RP)//. Serious applications only, please.

Gentlemen,
It is my distinct pleasure to announce the promotion of Mr. Fimmion Cage to the position of Acting Director of Security Operations. In this position, Mr. Cage will command all escort pilots, as well as helping me to develop new programs for the division. He will serve in this capacity on a provisional basis, with the possibility of permanent status.
Please congratulate Mr. Cage on this excellent accomplishment!

Guten Tag all,
First off, I would like to congratulate Mr. Cage on his promotion. I think it is well deserved and well placed, and I hope to work with you in the future.
I would also like to remind everyone that we do need another ADTO, Mr. Idaho and I cannot be everywhere all the time. There are possibly more trade routes and potential traders that we haven't yet dipped our fingers into!
I would also like to encourage everyone to hire escorts anywhere they go, be them military or not. It was just the other day that I witnessed a brutal battle in Stuttgart between the Rheinland Military, Corsairs, and Red Hessians, and found myself awfully helpless in comparison to these militarized vessels. Thankfully Freiberg Station, where I had stopped for repairs, was close to the Jumpgate, and I was able to escape...
And, Mr. Bronson, although we do our best, there is more to life than honor. We aren't the Kusari, and although we always strive to defend our vessels to the best of our ability, lets try not to take it over the edge. A life is far more important than a cargo hold or a few thousand credits.
Thank you everyone,
~Gunther Koch - Director of Trade Operations

Asked one of those Rheinland military chaps about it when I was passing through New Berlin with Mr. Bronson.
Seems that Rheinland have no embargo in place, however it seems that my original information was correct. Liberty is stopping all non-living cargo from leaving Liberty and heading for Rheinland.
So might be a good time to change the trade routes before we get caught out.

Guten Tag friends,
It seems the Libertonians have put an Embargo on all nonhuman transports heading to Rheinland. We are forced abide by this, and I encourage everyone to move passengers into Rheinland instead of any inorganic exports to Rhienland. As of this time, I would also like to say that in light of the profits being lost, all former restrictions on moving Passengers into Rheinland are hereby lifted excluding illegal activities.
Thank you, and keep up the good work,
~Gunther Koch - DTO

Subject: Trade Report
Gentlemen,
This evening I ran two-thirds of a Bretonia-to-Liberty-to-Rheinland route. It is well known: (1) beryllium from Kensington to Pueblo; (2) passengers from Manhattan to Augsburg Colony; (3) diamonds from Bautzen Station to Leeds.
Due to the Liberty embargo, passengers have become the primary "commodity" from there to Rheinland. Therefore, I have had the dock at Kensington make proper modifications to all of our ships to carry passengers more comfortably through Sirius, even in cargo pods.
The profit margins for this route are significant, in total, 3638 credits/unit, not including filler commodities between major destinations (e.g., water from Augsburg to Bautzen in Dresden).
I list total profit for one round trip by vessel class, after subtracting for crew complements:
Percheron: 9.1 million
Firefly: 12.7 million
Lg. Train: 16.4 million
While I strongly encourage variation in trade routes, if one is so inclined, the Liberty embargo has presented us, at least temporarily, with an excellent opportunity for profitability. It also offers a journey throughout a large portion of the Sirius Sector.
