I did a little bit of research on the titan. It beats the RT on the turn and strafes rather well to boot. Now I wouldn't regard that as being particularly slow. Infact the only thing I see that limits the Titan is its size, and boy is it huge. However, its not actualy that hard to dodge in one (yes I flew on on another disco server).

joe,you forget another thing, one nuclear mine,or one sunslayer or one cannonball and you are dead. and you know how easy is to hit somethign with so big wings as titan.
and i am not sure if titan beats RT in turn. but i am not master in this.

and another thing,yestarday waas some outcast in gamma. so they was faced with cruiser(destroyed) and fighters+bombers +2 arwings.(i think it was only 2) and i noticed interresing thing. i was shooting to bomber and he was flying without any dodge, he start dodgin only when his shield was down. (of course with arwing bug are my projectiles invisible) on one side it is fun shooting to someone with invisible projectiles, but on other side it is fair?
difference between arwing and tiger shark is only desing, and 100 hull (arwing has more) so on one side i know it is unfair,but on another side i hope that some people who was screaming about corsairs using tiger shark will be happy when they are destroyed with invisible projectiles.....

The explosives issue is the same with the Sabre mate:PAnd most light fighters to be honest.

The arwings are buggy as hell. I think and honestly think that the tigershark should never have been taken away form the corsairs.

I know from experiance that it takes 2 cannonballs at the same time to kill a titan... I have spent rather a lof of time shootin corsairs with cannonballs so I do know.

Well it's the same way on all vanilla ships, but the titan is wiiiiiide so it gets hit a lot more often.

Tell me about it... these damned arwing pilots have been bugging me 2 or 3 of em, 1 of em shooting me and they're all pointing fingers at each other and crap >.<

joe, you know, you think that is ok use tiger shark, i think that,majority of people who voted think the same, but someone must scream loud when happend that,what happend. but i hope next version of disco is not so far, and when we have our ships without bug it will be everything ok,untill that time ,we must live with bugs

Now imagine taking a merc in a some two sided battle... asking both side to pay him:)

Titan dies to 1 Cannonball and 1 Sidewinder as well Joe, though not always... but I have 4 Titans in 3 mins killed like that. Sabre can actually die to one Cannonball... but that's like one in hundred hits. Even Cannonball + Firestalker kills it in less than 40% hits.

MAJOR topic swerve ahead.

I think that we should get rid of vanilla vulnerability, and up the damage on all explosives to compensate for it.

I think that a single sunslayer should kill ALL VHFs if you hit them with it, a nuke mine should nearly kill all VHF's and cannonballs should do a little bit less damage than the nuke mine.

I dont care much about the ship choice, really.

Weapons on the other hand... why mount debilitators when corsairs have rapier level 7 shield busters of their own? They may not be as good, but you DO have them, there isnt any reason to use someone else's guns.

Nuke mines can be tough to avoid, they shouldnt 1 shot fighters.

you just have to keep your eyes peeled. I fly a lot of vanilla ships and I get used to getting blown up by a lot of explosives, but you just have to learn to get the hell outa the way of mines.

and I only said nearly kill, not kill outright.

I agree with Joe on this, nukes should nearly kill a fighter with low-ish armour and one hitbox zone. That would be around 20k damage (Eagle: 9000x2.5 = 22500) if hitboxes are removed.

To this day, there is one person I know who can use nukes effectively, and that would be razr. Everyone else, myself included, relies on either the minefield + CD or a few mines that are placed just before passing on a joust. So, its not as dangerous in battle as the old nova or 50k monster supernova mine of the old ages.

(Don't even make a comment about that Blunt:P)

However, before that can happen, the capships, especially the dreadful hitboxes on the Kusari gunboat and battleship need to be sorted out, as well as the fighters. Just pointing out that if this happens, capital ships should not be forgotten.
