I see Osprey...

There's nothing that would make me think the crazy designers of that ship are xenophobic terrorists from Liberty. The ship has no similarities with anything from Liberty but that might change with textures... or not. It's still not frightening... it lacks the aggressive feeling. It looks more like a bomber than a VHF. It's too bulky.

This is how I'd make it: Borrow the neck thing from Liberty military ships but keep a longer cockpit. Only keep the two engines on top. Add a stabilizing fin below (as opposed to the one on the Executioner and smaller). Make the body slender. Add some spike sensors on one side or make something slightly asymmetrical. I installed blender Tongue Wish I knew how to use it to show you my ideas.

I think this might work, would love to see how that looks.

Found a bunch of ship designs from various Freelancer modes and other sources that might serve as appropriate inspiration if nothing else.

I would like to say thank you for working on something for the Xenos. It would be nice for them to have a ship of their own but the one you have going looks more like a bomber than a VHF. Which isn't a bad thing because most of the time Xenos need to be in bombers.

I also like Kuze's model for the Serpent. It has a large back profile with those downward facing fins and large engines though.

When I think of a Xeno VHF, I imagine it to be a modified Eagle or something that resembles an Eagle. Maybe something they stripped for parts so that they could add their own versions of stuff onto it. They aren't particularly rich people and so I don't imagine the new ship to be very new at all.

However, I still like that 2.0 model you made. I would fly that but as a bomber I think. Xenos run into trouble a lot and sometimes you want something that is a bit lighter for the sake of survival in prolonged fights rather than pure power which is the Rogues way. Something bulky or slow would end up being something we just don't use (Unless it's a bomber)

There's a small hole on the right side of the ship (mandatory red circle for easier spotting).

Other than that, the model is great.
