Greetings HGL Personnel
Something I have been turning over in my mind has been our ships and equipment. After going through many of our back logs I found the listing of accepted trade ships and escort ships. I would like to open up a discussion on this subject and on equipment, if it is acceptable to Sir Alisdair.
One thing I could not find and it may have just been me missing the data was a complete listing of weapons and armaments allowed by HGL employees in escort craft.
Some things I would like to discuss would be
-possible expansion of allowed civilian craft up to and including gunships (unlikely but worth covering)
-allowed weapons and suggested loadouts
-trade ships in general, are there any others we can procure for our uses?
-in my freelance days I seem to recall a large trader not broken into cargo pods that allowed for transport of large assembled goods
Before I dig too indepth I'd like the go ahead from Sir Alisdair or someone else in a leadership position

Mr. Bloom,
Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm in this regard. At this point, our ship lists are fairly settled as they seem to represent the most appropriate for our company to fly. If you have questions about our trade fleet, feel free to inquire of Mr. Koch, our DTO.
The same is true for the weapons and equipment on our escorts. While we have tried various approaches, what we have now seems best. If you have questions about our loadouts, feel free to contact Mr. Cage, our Acting DSO.
If either of these are unable to help you, you may PM me as well.

Dear Sir,
My questions and concerns have been answered and satisfied via PM with various individuals. Mr. Charles Dee was especially helpful in his knowledge of ships and weaponry. A true wealth of knowledge.
Thank you for your time in my unfounded concern of the old addage 'bringing a knife to a gunfight'

Subject: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - Rheinland Inspections
To All Employees:
Captain Hans Krieger of the Rheinland Military has instructed us that we are to stand by for inspection to any RM we meet in New Berlin. However, upon my request, we do not have to divert to Planet New Berlin. Rather, we should contact any RM in the system, who will meet us at Dortmund for inspection.
Do NOT land at Dortmund before being inspected. Allow RM to inspect fully loaded.
This is very important; please observe proper protocol.

Subject: Convoy Report
Guten Tag everyone,
Today Gateway held quite a convoy. At first, it consisted of only myself, Mr. McIntyre, and Ms. Eaton heading to Liberty with Luxury Foods to meet with Sir Buchanan who was returning from Rheinland. On our respective ways to Manhattan, there were no disturbances. When we attempted to move Passengers to Rheinland, though, we encountered several problems.
First, in Bering, our convoy was hailed by a Unioner pilot, flying a civilian bomber. This man, callsigned Armstrong, demanded that we pay eight million credits for passage. Sir Buchanan, Mr. McIntyre, and myself passed this man by, but Ms. Eaton was delayed, and was engaged in a firefight with this man. She returned to us safe, though, at Planet Hamburg.
Second, in Hamburg, we heard of another Unioner, this time callsigned Vacant, pirating an independent trader. We found him on the Trade Lane from Alster Shipyard to the New Berlin Jump Gate, and engaged to assist the trader. Although I arrived late, we managed to stave off the pilot, flying a Tadain Bomber. He retreated, and we met up with Mr. Bloom in the Somerset shortly after the engagement. He left shortly after, though, due to engine failures...
Third, while in New Berlin, we came upon this Vacant again near Dortmund Station, and he fired upon Mr. McIntyre with no warning. We engaged this man, and even came received assistance from a Bounty Hunter known as Colonel_Spectre. We gave the Unioner ample chance to leave, and he refused that opportunity. We destroyed him, and hopefully he will not attempt to "tax" us while serving time in the Vierlande Prison.
Nothing occurred on our way to Munich or Dresden. Our trip to Leeds, however, held a meeting with a rather polite Corsair. Abbie had made his acquaintance before, in a rather violent manner. Reluctant to engage, since he was flying a gunboat, Sir Buchanan decided to try diplomacy instead. We managed to bargain passage, and continued our trip to Leeds without incident.
A special thanks to Abbie for her very good work this evening. She has more than earned her pay for the night, and I can only hope she can find more a more peaceful assignment in the next few days.
On a side note, I would like to ask everyone to keep their eyes on the trade route list (//Page 3, post #22\\). It is ever changing with today's politics, and it is best for us to be well informed.
A very eventful night,
~Gunther Koch - DTO

Mr. Koch
A most imformative report and I am as we speak cursing my darn luck with my engines. I wish that I could have participated and lended my assistance where needed in such an eventful convoy. Next time I hope to have my engines in top condition.
As a side note my ship is the Liverpool not the Somerset, I believe that is Mr. Blacks's ship.
We are holding a major trading event at the end of this week, from Thursday May 29 to Sunday June 1. Anyone flying during these days is expected to be working on this event. This is the better alternative to having to come up with actual scheduled runs, which would be next to impossible.
The trade event thread, beginning with the backstory (being posted today and tomorrow) is here:
The list of commodities and locations required will be posted on the event thread, and BaconSoda will repost them on our message dump (HGL Comm System) here, along with the delivery reporting requirements. Please keep in mind that, while you may read the backstory, HGL characters are only aware of what happens on the HGL side of things.
There are enough commodities and locations that you should have plenty to do if you decide to participate. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Guten Tag friends,
As of late, we have been drafted by BowEx to assist in shipping materials for the New London Infrastructure Initiative. As of May 29th, we are to begin shipping the following items:
In parenthesis is where we should attain these items. After parenthesis is where we should ship these items to. When we ship these items, there are several requirements to prove that the shipment was actually made:
1. Photo Evidence (//Screenshot\\)
2. Time of shipment (//GMT - Time Converter Here\\)
3. Amount of shipment. (Get this in the photo evidence also).
4. What you shipped (Get this in Photo Evidence as Well).
Please try and post what you have shipped at the exact time you have shipped it in our comm system. I'll compile what we have shipped at the end of the day. Any questions about this should be directed to me via personal comm.
Thank you,
~Gunther Koch - DTO

Hi Mr. Buchanan
I was wondering.
Since there is only one of me and lots of pirates lately (like yesterday), would it be OK if I hired a Mandalorian to help me provide convoy security during a trading run? The Mandys are really nice and good pilots too. I can pay them myself too too.

Ms. Eaton,
It is quite fine for our convoys to hire Mandalorian or Jupiterguild escorts, and we often do. It is not your responsibility to pay them, however.
If you feel yourself to be inadequate protection for a given convoy, feel free to suggest to the convoy commander that other escorts be hired. I believe our trader captains will used good judgment in this eventuality. If there is any problem in this regard, by all means, let me know.
