Another rant thread, just like the millions before, won't change anything, especially when you yourself already title it as one. I feel like those threads would be more efficient if they wouldn't come from you, and I think the constant negativity created by such threads won't make any changes but will just attract people to be like "Okay, that's Nomnomnom again". I know the problems of Discovery, I know the problematic names, I know what problems people have with you, I know what problems people had with Shaggy and I know why I won't attend some events and do other things instead. The literally only good thing I get from this thread is people agreeing that player-made events could use some advertisment. However, when I made events, people came. Even to the non-PVP, non-PVE, non-benefit Zoner Pilgrimage event.

What the community however doesn't need are rants and people pointing fingers at others. Especially if they are inconsistent themselves.

I keep things easy myself and run good with it: I play with the people I like, I offer other people chances, and if they are not pleasant, I don't give too much effs. It is a game and I won't let other people dictate my mood just because they are dicks. I play along the rules and have my fun. The less you make yourself a target, the better it is.

While this is true, I would take it a step further. Rather than pushing perceived toxicity onto select players why not create an open discussion on what can be done to encourage better behavior? Perhaps a suggestion thread rather than a rant. Look at the strengths of the people involved. Whether we personally like every player on the server or not, everyone contributes something positive to the community. Focus on that and then build up from there. If you focus on the positives the negatives will shrink away. Find something to compliment the individual on before making suggestions on what needs to be improved. Criticism is taken in a positive light when you acknowledge their contributions first rather than applying the label of "Toxic Player", "Toxic Leader", or "Toxic Faction."

Such behavior would be lost to the sea that is larger communities, but here it is just too easy to be quickly labeled as ''that guy who...'' from a single post. Keep the community clean, be the type of player you want others to be and for the love of god, stop trying to spitefully act against other groups in a manner you ''think'' they are treating you.

If that one thing above was more or less followed by the majority of the community, we would not be facing another consideration for a Heavy Decision list in the nearby future. I will say this again, disco is past the point where we can allow players to behave like dill-weeds. Look at any of the comments that are being made about the mod outside this forum. Community this community that. It has never been the balance or the roleplay quality - the mod is kept alive by the community. We need new blood, but we are in no position to allow the old blood to leave and neither are we stupid enough to kick out the vets for it. They need to get their own crap together before they become vets of a community that does not exist to be a vet of.

So it's not lost in all the posts.

Can't y'all just play nice? God damn, everyone (including me sometimes...honestly) is constantly trying to one up people or rip on people. Just...get along and make friends. I sound like the little kiddie here but jesus christ it's literally not that hard to stop being a tool and actually TRY to be friendly and encouraging to people...

No, lets all play nice card dont help here becouse as it is aleady corectly posted, some people are dicks, they care only to act like typical school bulies, they will not change no mater what we talk or how many times we say dont do it please, only solutions for school bulies is if even bigger bulie shows up, if they leave or they are banished from city, or jail . In case of discovery, more permanent ban. If tooth is rotten pull it off or it will infect others.

I for the most parts had come back to this sever because of the love I have for Freelancer. but Nooomoonooooo or how ever you spell it * because I am to lazy to count how many O's and the such there is mean not disrespect* has some valid points in the realm of the events .I can not recall any of the past events that a Zoner could use a Neph in Tongue. They all happen in some sort of house space. Well that is the length of my rant. Human nature is the problem everyone is looking for a edge a advantage no matter if you where play Hello Kitty Online. This post seem to be kill the messenger it is a bit toxic just a bit. Just tonight I made a comment in system chat and you would think I called down the end of the world because it was not in RP. WOW big wow. Yes it is RP but look no one is going to die. Some factions are a arrogant and that is not only here been playing Guild Wars for 12 years and they have the same problem. someone is always going to be on top , have the best , or the most, and they are not afraid to point this out. Most have the diplomatic skills of a half eaten cold cut sandwich.

I have been asked why I spend so much time in New York in front of Hatten seeing I am a Zoner. I watch people and there interactions and the LN is a prime example of some of the things that drive people away. But they are not the only ones the unlawful are just as bad. Can you tell me how many as a new player want to have a BS stopping you while in one of the starter ship and demanding a fine and droping of the cargo. That is one observation. You can post all you want how you should help new players. But it is like a flashing light after you see it many time it become ignored. There is always a good rule of thumb " treat people how you would like to be treated" is it easy to say but can you. One the main reason I play a Zoner not to get away from house rule and all that lofty hub hub. But for the most part I get to treat people the way I want to treat them with out some overseer applying a official faction rule.

People that have never been a leadership role let power go to their head and sadly that is not a leader it is a failure waiting to happen. Great leaders are not defined by proclamation or self promotion ....But by their actions. Sorry Asian heritage getting better part of me all lofty quote from father. I come to game to get away from stress of day. Watch people and do little things the make me happy. in all I think there not much happy and lot more angry. As seen just in posts. Many pointing finger and such it you can not have civil discussion no matter how the approach how can you even progress.

a) Actually i have done other types of events. not only racing. Are you stereotyping me? Tongue
b) Really? Because I've tried that.

a) out of 9 events this year you only have done racing events and to be honest for an official faction that's a bit weak in half a year
b)if so.. why not share some names of who you've contacted since that's very unlikely to happen..

This community isn't very toxic by internet standards. Your events are impopular because "racing" by cruising in straight lines / around huge objects like planets isn't actually exciting.

I loved the Blind Jump Races, and I think everyone who so far partook in one agrees with me on it. Nobody knew what was going to happen and suddenly you have people evaluating on spot which route to take. So it happened that @JorgeRyan managed to win in a freighter against some LFs by taking the better route.

I'm personally less interested in the normal races. They are kind of squishy. What I did like was the Delta Ring Sun race, because I used to surf on that ring very often when I was bored. It literally is the best race track you can have, as you actually have one. One that isn't complicated. I would have liked to do more races like that before the nomad indie group crashed that event. Apart from that I had the feeling the organizers weren't really structured or at least not focused during the last event in Delta. I felt a bit ignored there.

I do like those events less because of the races but because people come together to not just pew each other with minimal RP like the usual PvP events are. Like, thanks to the AFC events I got more in touch with some all-stars and newbies. That's why I wonder what the particular reasons for @Jack_Henderson, @TheSauron, @James Greed, @JorgeRyan and the others were to not attend on regular basis.

And to be honest, the negative attitude you have shown towards the people that came to the events to at least watch them wasn't helpful. Like, the last people you should blame for your events not being the success you have hoped for are those who at least logged for the event and not the races. Those statements rather cause generally more disinterest for the races.
