Subject: We were deceived...
Everyone,
Please, check this Comms Unit. It seems that BowEx has just used us to accomplish their own goals. Although we have been payed for our work, our unknown assistance to the Kusari-Bretonian war, of which we have no intentions of continuing, has done damage to our reputation that should take quite some time to repair. We'll be more wary of BowEx now, but aside from this, please let it be known that personal animosity is personal, and we aren't looking for any conflict with BowEx.
Aside from this, very good work everyone! We really showed those BowEx who the real shippers were, even if we were fooled into shipping for something we did not support. We couldn't have done a better job.
On another note, if anyone sees Herr McIntyre in space, please congratulate him on his recent promotion to ADTO position. He is well suited to this position, and I don't think we could have found anyone more deserving that applied.

First of all, thanks for the promotion, again. Seems I'm doing something right here.
Next, didn't pull in much today, around about 12million, but this was due to experimenting.
But anyways, I was ambushed by a pair of corsairs earlyish. A little gunboat demanding credits, and wait for it... A bleedin' huge cruiser! The little one demanded credits in order to feed the people of Crete. So instead of credits, I gave him a load of food. Cannae cause much terror with food, can he? Well, unless his cooking is as bad as... Nevermind that.
Done a little triad with Bloom before I took my break, helped a feller by the name of "Sir.Sleepy". He was flat broke, so we gave him enough credits to get some berl, and we ran it to Pueblo.

Managed one route of the Cambridge, Pueblo, Munich, Beutzen, Leeds run today before a massive systems failure grounded me for the night.
Only one thing of interest happened and that was being stopped by a corsair who then offered to sell me a couple of civvie pilots for a small fee. I did this and returned the pilots to Leeds were they gratefully returned to thier families.
On a side note could it be clarified our posistion now after being lied to by Bowex on ;
1. Our stance with Kusari
2. Our stance with the Bretonian Government
3. Our stance with all the independant traders, mercs, etc

Subject: Recent Events
Hello All:
I would like to first address the current situation with BowEx, and then I'll address the recent posts. It is quite unfortunate that we were deceived in this manner, though we should have been a bit more careful in confirming sources. Of course, we didn't know BowEx would act in this manner, but they have, and we have suffered the consequences.
That said, I have sent a formal apology to Foreign Minister Seelenburg of the Independent Miners' Guild for inadvertently involving them in this situation, and I hope for some positive diplomacy to develop out of that.
Second, there is UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE to be any hostile engagement with any BowEx vessel. We've already traded fire previously, and I do not want to repeat that fiasco. Greet them cordially - it wasn't their pilots who deceived us, after all - and if they respond with verbal hostility, reply courtesly and continue on your way. We are not the ones who acted without honor here, and we will continue to behave courteously toward them.
Third, in response to Mr. McDonald's inquiry, the following points:
1. Our relations with Kusari are unaffected by the BowEx situation. It is my hope that through an agreement with IMG, we might eventually be able to ship to and from IMG bases in the Taus and/or Kusari space, but this will not happen immediately, not least because of the need for permission by our own government.
2. Our relations with the Bretonian governmnet are also unchanged: it was BowEx who deceived us, and to my knowledge, the Admiralty was not aware of what BowEx had done until our press conference. My statements in that press conference summarize the company's position toward the BAF and the BPA - we will continue in our positive relations with both.
3. Nothing has changed with independent traders or mercs.
The duplicity that caused us to act against our company's principles was perpetrated by the leadership of BowEx, and by them alone. No blame will be assigned to any other entity unless circumstances dictate otherwise.
This is our policy now and until further notice.
In other news...
Mr. McIntyre, congratulations again - your promotion is well deserved and probably does not adequately reflect how well you have actually done and how much you are actually appreciated.
Your response to the Corsair was perfect; I suggest everyone act as wisely in the future.
Finally, may I extend a hearty WELL DONE to everyone for your superb efforts at fulfilling the recent contract (extenuating circumstances notwithstanding) - you have all outdone yourselves, and I am very thankful for your dedication. I am honored you would seek to serve our fair company with such integrity.

Good day people,
Got a little convoy today, explored trade options in Liberty, found what a barren rock California minor is, and bumped into AT&E and some Xenos.
Busy day eh?
Convoy was good, had Artur_dent (of Interspace), a jupiter guild member, and a strange merc along for the journey. Ran a triad with a bit of a wander on the way to Liberty.
Later, the boss and I decided to run a Boron/Berl run. And we encountered a pair of AT&E (now found it's Agiera Tech and Engineering or somesuch). Once we had landed and we were about to leave, we were accosted by one of the fellows there. Demanding to know our business and when we were leaving?! Not a nice thing to say to the CEO of Gateway! I think an official response is in order, to reply to this behaviour. Some extra digging seems that this Spike feller is actually their head of security...

The Best of Mornings to Everyone
After rousting my lazy crewman out of bed and ordering him to dust the cobwebs off the ole Exeter, we headed to Dublin to parlay with the Union of Gold. Upon entering Dublin, I noticed that the ship's ID transponder was amiss, so I landed briefly on the Battleship Hood for quick repairs.
After a spot of tea at the Hood's bar--I felt it was too early for a whiskey--proceeded to Arranmore to load up on gold. I then proceeded forthwith to Planet Nuremburg.
In Cambridge I picked up the ships "Mark" and "Jdftheman", and we convoyed as far as The Ring. Nice chaps they were.
I arrived at Nuremburg without incident and having an air of sprightliness about me, decided to lay over and see some of the historical sites planet-side.

[To: All Highland-Gateway employees and associates]
Greetings Highland-Gateway employees and associates. My name is Aiden Pharar and I am the CEO of AT&E. I would like to take this opportunity to personally apologize for an encounter that your people had at our Pueblo manufacturing facility last night. Spike is our Chief Strategy Officer and was a little jumpy after an encounter we had with Rehineland Military officers. He mistook your company for one based in Rehineland. Upon finding out that you are not a Rehineland company he should have backed off immediatly. We here at AT&E are extremely grateful for the relationship we have with Highland-Gateway, and I want nothing more to have the best relationship we can. Please forgive not only Spike for his quick and rash behavior, but AT&E in its entirety. Once again I apoligize for any inconveinces we caused and you have my word that this will never happen again.
I look forward to working with Highland-Gateway more in the future.

Mr. Pharar,
Your apology is accepted, and I hope Mr. Spiegel will respond more appropriately to the lawful traders he encounters in the future.
I would also caution against animosity toward Rheinland companies who have little or no control over what the regime there does. We are allied with at least two Rheinland firms, and we would hate to see them treated inappropriately as well.
That said, we look forward to working with you in the future.
Yours,
Sir Alisdair Buchanan

Good day for profits and trading, with very little sign of pirates. Except one encounter in California.
Hired a couple of Jupiter Guild members for escort duty. Very professional outfit, if a bit... odd at times.
Attempted to do a triad with Calum, but we hit some sort of anomoly, he was "sent" back to Cardiff, and I to California. So he decided to call it a day there. And I returned to the route. Very good run, very good people, very good profit. Currently docked at Augsberg, decided to have a break.
I'd recommend the JG fellows, good chaps, and good pricing too!
