// a poor bunch of gas miners owning the biggest fleet in sirius for more than 80 years is nothing but a messy FL story element that was flushed into the game to satisfy the stereo type of germans being evils who must not win and to stabilize rheinlands bad-guy image.
and now that GMG faction has to deal with that messy peace of story junk! hf!
Edit: the second fleet was wiped out by Edison Trent's Anubis. (I saw it! I did it!)
Kusari played its part in making sure the GMG won. They didn't do it all on their own, the homeland wanted to make sure their blood won. I myself believe they wanted to make sure Rheinland suffered a harsh blow and to lose the ability to be a threat to Kusari.
Quote:First ships of the Kusari Explorer type were built in 490 A.S., the period when space exploration was considered very important for the House of Kusari. Bearing a power array and weapon systems similar to a Gunboat, the Explorers were enough reliable to spend long months and even years completely alone with a small crew onboard, mapping remote systems and seeking uncharted jump holes. These years, period of active space exploration is over for Kusari, but it is not for the Gas Miners Guild who are constantly seeking for new mineable areas in the Sirius nebulas and use many Explorer-type vessels to increase research efficiency. Several Explorers also stay on service of the Kusari Naval Forces.
Bolded part seems contradictory to the previous part that Fist highlighted.

EDIT: Kay... I wrote a long third post to this, re read it, and noticed I was making absolutely no sense at all... Gonna wait until tomorrow to post as tonight I can tell I'm not going to make much sense, even to myself. >_<

No, it doesn't. What it is saying is that the period of exploration is not over for the GMG

Ah...It still could be worded better. My version, nice and properly readable:
Quote:In the year 490 A.S., the first ships of the Kusari Explorer type were built. It was the period in which space exploration was the foremost concern for House Kusari. Utilizing a power array and enhanced weapons systems approaching the capabilities of a Gunboat, the Explorers were reliable enough to spend months and even years completely alone mapping remote systems and seeking uncharted jump holes. Those days are over for Kusari. but not for the Gas Miners Guild. The GMG are constantly on a quest for new mineable areas in the Sirius nebulae and use many Explorer-type vessels to increase their research efficiency. Several of the Explorers also stay on service of the Kusari Naval Forces as recon units and advance guard.

Oooh... that's much better. Submit that for an infocard change!

Slight correction there: GMG would be singular, as you are referring to an organization as a whole.
Quote:A kusari explorer wouldn't have the proper supplies to continue a long journey, or the defenses. In a universe where nearly anything could be out there. Would you explore the unknown with arms of light?
Hell yea it would. Its designed for that... I mean, look at the inforcard.
We had a discussion about that yesterday, but since its here already, I'll put my points in.
Well I dont like GMG having more than one capital ship. One flagship and swarms of fighters is okay, whether its salvaged battleship or not, but its taking a bit too far. Kusari Explorer is more than enough for exploring afterall.
And you need to get all the cool names like Kamchatka and Ochtosk back. You know, roleplay names... rather than GMG-Xcalibur, its just... way too 'gamer' name.
