Is it not possible to ask for channel ownership to be passed to a staff member?

That seems unlikely to work given some of the special permissions that certain people have on the server.

Any big project, such as DFL, must have its own official hub managed by staff, imo. And, of course, re-creation of DC hub is necessary. I fully support this initiative.

But now... Don't we come back to the same point, eh? Hub management will again be in hands of a player not in staff. I absolutely don't know who the hell is Hannibal, and I know Mep has some authority here, but I have repeatedly seen that Mep doesn't always behave appropriately. Nothing personal, but don't you consider necessary to create a DC hub owned by server staff, but with designated moderators, so as not to distract the Devs and GMs?

And whole sanction was irrelevant and executed after 3-4 days after all that swearing stuff Mep posted, so not surprising that everyone didn't know why he was banne

That's because I don't consume the content written in the discord server or play games anymore(disco or others) , I only do a search every few days for suggestions and other stuff related to the discord server
I won't apologize for banning meph or chuba for the same reason (more or less) nor do I care of how it's perceived ..
Otherwise I don't moderate the chat I leave it up to discovery s moderators/GM/dev heads or those who wished to sign up for the job (like laz)

There are roles in the Discord for Discovery gamemasters, moderators and developers that allow them to moderate it as appropriate. There is also an as yet vacant additional role for people who fall outside of these roles but are both willing and trustworthy enough to assist with the maintenance of the Discord.

I genuinely hear your concerns but, and this goes for everyone, think you should give this a try. I see you've at least joined the server to do that and going forward if we can all be nice to each other and behave as we should then this new Discord should be a great place for all to enjoy.

Not necessary, but would be nice to have assigned moderators-only members, as at unofficial server.
Nothing said about discord must have only GMs and Devs as mods.

You don't need to apologize for bans or care how that is perceived.
You only need to care about sparing 1min of time to write reason of ban to any public channel, that's that.
