Excuse me, but what indeed productive can be expected from PoBs threads?
All possible solutions without plugin rewritting were already posted times and times.
Rule ducttaping of bad mechanics will just cause another abuses(even not intentional), and its clear to anybody who played here.
One of major problem what i see currently - PoBs sink players time and not money. That why people so concerned about their pobs destruction, because for builder its not as disposable as should be. Base owner harmed in way of spent time in boring gameplay (same for siegers, they just waste alot lesser time, still waste tho). Base founding and modules construction should be organised through single high-cost (200-500+ mil (whatever current ingame inflation)) commodities. Except WP, solutions for which should be treated in other ways (one of them was already suggested - remove WP).
Whoever did mechanics as time sink instead of credits sink - BDSM fetishist. If builders wont invest days of their time with hauling boring and bad placed commodities, just to place stupid space containers, they wont take it so close to heart. There obviously plenty of other issues, but that one which can be solved by configs.
Again, builders should waste their time trading at major routes, or doing missions, or mining ores for others and distributing through pobs. Not hauling priceless garbagge through empty space.

As jammi said.
I find sad that people dont realize the importance of Goldgeist. Its not just another average base that you find scattered around the systems decaying slowly.
It serves as a resource for the players and the community, specially for new players who wanted a good start through the game.
What the enclave and corsairs gain from destroying it, its not a roleplay interaction.
Its spite. Spite from a major part of the players who have always benefitted from the gold/aluminium route. Thats what your gain is.

Why GMS| can fill literally all bases in Languedoc without issues? I never saw those empty but they (GMS) trade a lot and indies visit Languedoc quite often. Biacris and Niobium ore depot are always full of ores, despite their owners are busy people. Chesterfield was filled with ore last time I visited, Copper Ore depot - same. Station next to planet new berlin has 4 or 5 different ores and always is filled. All the owners & people who help them have real life and do not spend here 24/7 but keep their bases useful and alive, why this is not about bretonia, where literally every solar has at least one pob?
upd: Want the best examples of POBs management? Bristol Depot is it. Skorak made it an ore sellpoint, buypoint and RP project. All in one piece.

And allow me to add, what do you even have offered to it? What do you even know about it?
Agree!!11
This Enclave cant even understand the importance of Leeds!
Look at this beaty! That base gave us Edison Trent!11

Just another, always empty POB without the purpose of existence
No. I have been filling Goldgeist a few months back, and i coulndt keep up refilling it because players were always moving gold.

Meanwhile we could get rid of PoBs and support player to player interactions. Miners mining for transports. Where are the times when I was waiting in Tau-23 for miner and then happily paid when my transport was full of ore.
Yet I am still failing to see how is that PoB more important than others. Beside storing Ore which takes away interaction with players. What is so awesome about that PoB?
Well, I think that while shooting Clew Bay and Goldgeist is perfectly fine, claiming that you do it "because they are useless" is a bit hypocritical.
Those 2 were used as storages by the gold miners due to their location close to the field. Unlike everything else in Dublin, hehe.

It serves the same purpose as every other ore depot.
So your reason is because there is not enough players working on it, it deserves to be destroyed. That is just being petty and selfish.
