Note I gave examples of Eldorado and Goldgeist. This is not about ooRP protections per say but you do realise don't you that the rules around PoB's are ooRP. It's about the benefits v the harm to the community. It is clearly doing harm.

I'm not sure lads.
I think off time sieging is bull.
Excuse the rushed cropping lol
That's not RP
That's not interractions
That's just bad for the game
Sos bros
But this adds literally nothing to the game play experience other than griefing
Not saying sieging should be banned but something should be done to deter this kind of behaviour when sieging.

observer2 is the Legate, the others are Valors. Well, at least ElDorado is next on the list.

We started hours ago, right after a siege push against a base in Newcastle with a large rotation of players. No one person has been sieging consistently the entire time.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

This is not about the organisation of the attacks, which IMO are very good, well organised and clearly effective. Organised attacks always have a supreme advantage anyway.
To quote: "The overall benefits it (Goldgeist) provides far and away outweigh the need for a small tiny myopic group of players who cannot see the full picture and the unnecessary negativity generated by a piss-poor decision to take it out with piss-poor RP."

Jammi already answered that question:

The siege declaration thread and cooldown times exist on an OORP level to notify the owners, accounting for situations where the relevant RP does not involve the owners' characters.
The reason for this is because a requirement to roleplay with the owners would be outright illogical at times. It very much makes sense for a House authority to contact the owners to demand they register or face the consequences.
It would not make sense for a Molly or the Enclave to contact a BMM / Bowex / BAF station to politely notify them that they're coming to wreck their base. Those factions are fundamentally opposed to the station owners, and the only demand the owners could comply with that would satisfy those factions would be to deconstruct the station themselves.
Ultimately, POBs were mechanically intended to be destructible, and the risk that someone may take the game up on that opportunity is inherent when you decide you establish one. The game does not differentiate between 'productive' or 'obstructive' POBs. They all have a health bar, with the hope being that if your POB provides a useful service, people will be invested in its defence.
Despite this, as St Denis has pointed out, the balance for POB health/regen/upkeep isn't ideal and should really be looked at from the ground up. I hope this is a project that can be conducted in public, in the same way as the community ID rework that's currently ongoing.

Hmm yes let me go just pvp death my self for 2 hours as my entire faction is sleeping.
Yeah no
Most players are in UTC +2 and so I propose we have a set time for sieges at about... 4PM UTC time? Maybe 5?
A wide enough time that we can squeeze everyone in.
Maybe set days.
Just anything to stop this anti social behaviour.
Sure some players will be excluded but then we could have other hours where less damage can be done.
The siege might last longer.
But more interactions will come of it and it'll be easier to plan for both as a faction and independently.
