Save for a battle cruiser.

If everything Jinx is working gets through you'll love it even more.

I'm in a Manta now, Hammerhead fails...:(

The Manta just doesn't have enough oomph in firefights, especially 2 to 1 dogfights... I get raped by gunboats that seem to be everywhere...

Personally I flew the BH destroyer and I liked it. It wasn't to big, nor too powerful, but it was nice to fly. (I didn't get in that many PVP fights)

It had nice maneuverability, and decent firepower, least enough to deal with NPCs with no problem.

Can't comment on the BH gunship though...

don t be too sure:laugh:- my second test with the BHG BC went aweful, too. - the poor ship got stuck in rostock station like a beached whale. - i never had these problems with a model before - only the BHG ships get stuck - maybe it is cause they are so vertical. - even the zoner juggernaut replace i made ( which will be the largest ship ingame ) never got stuck in corfu station ( and corfu is the same station model like rostock ).

anyway - about the original question. - the gunship is a great ship... but a lot of people won t like you then - and i don t mean inRole dislike. the destroyer is utter crap - waste of money ( but a nice model even if its star wars ... the twin sat dishes are cool ) - the BHG BC is good, but not a godlike ship either - its almost as big as the battleship and quite slow ... but the BC powercore makes it a formidable enemy for anything of a similar size / class. - but its a lot more cash ( i mean the BHG gunship costs 20 million - the BHG BC 280 )

if you don t mind others calling you lame, - get the gunship, you get the best boom for your cash. if you wanne be fair, and want to enjoy the sunshine in summer much - take the destroyer. - you ll get a lot of 4 hour breaks.

edit: regardint what mb52 wrote. - yes, the destroyer feels good. - its just like a destroyer should feel like ! - untill you face enemy VHFs, gunboats, cruisers and bomber.

I better place an order for a gunship then... *strolls to Slaters RP*

May as well give it a shot:)

Well just remember, its not all about the best ship stat wise. Its best ship for your RP.

BTW- why don't you play some SP and try out both ships? I'm sure theres a mod you can activate that gives you enough money right away. Just remember to de-activate after tho...

Is it worth buying the gunship or should I continue to save for a Destroyer. Oh and is there a restriction? Because I have been putting a heavy amount of RP into my Slater character. If there is a restriction who do I talk to within the BHG factions?

Thanks for reading.

BHG dessie is good ship. Don't let anybody say otherwise....

Not all is in firepower...not to mention it is biggest cap that BHG could even remotely could explain in RP...(BS and BC are too much)

people often mention Kusari dessie as superb ship of that class...well there is only one ship that all pilots of Kusari dessie are afraid...and its BGH destroyer...

only down side is, with its very limited turret count, it has to carry quite specific loadout...so it can be cap killer, or fighter/bomber killer, but not both at the same time...

(many will dissagree with me on this, but i tend to ignore them since i know i am right:crazy::P)

What the current GS lacks on armor makes up for in compaction and and agility. If you have great maneuverability with bombers it's an excellent choice With the right setup you'll be able to constantly shoot an inferno cannon with no energy drain. I once got Skull's dessie shield down to 60 in one. But I wasn't as skilled (or confident) back then. But sill it's one ass kicking on a small package.

I'd say if you really want to try a bigger ship you should but bear in mind you will get more agravations from other players I myself went through the stage were I just had to try a Battleship and wouldn't let anything dissuade me.

I enjoyed it for a while and used it reasonably responsibly but then I made a separate Gunboat account just to try them and found myself enjoying it a lot more as time went on I realised I was only logging in the Battleship for the sole reason of preventing it being wiped. Eventually I sold it.

Now I'm enjoying Bombers and Fighters just as much I still myself fight temptations to try out bigger ships it's probably the temptation of having the credits already and just being curious but I know I won't use them much even if I do.

But I can tell you honestly that the small ships are usually more fun and well worth giving a chance.

Best of luck anyway

Same here actually. I've been in like 10 dogfights this week already. Really fun. Not as frustrating as spending an hour trying to shoot down one bomber.
