23 biased people out of how many active players vote to keep their protective buffer. Everyone else is afraid to go against the grain. Business as usual at Discovery Freelancer.

I'm tempted to lay a textwall adressing the IQ that came out of that sentence.

It would be a waste of time. It´s

same people all the time with same attitude. If poll support their idea even by small majority, it´s the voice of community which should be heard and applied. If the poll goes opposite way (and boy, I did not see such unambiguous poll for a very long time), it´s because only biased players vote and fear reign between those big crowds which would really want to support the idea, but are afraid of something. Though no one has any idea of what actually considering the poll is anonymous. Oh, wait, I forgot the conspiracy, staff will leak their names and then bad guys of the community will hit them in the shower because they dared to vote in a random not binding poll on forums!

You always have some paranoid excuse when you don't get your way. That's not a good way to persuade people.

Yes, perhaps the overwhelming vote against this idea is a conspiracy of bitter veterans being unwilling to relinquish their power (whatever power that's supposed to be in this case).

Or this is simply a bad idea that the vast majority of people who go to the effort of reading through it disagree with. I'm gonna go with this option.

Why would people vote against the grain if the grain is good as it is.

Players are not required to agree with ideas they think are bad, which this is according to poll.

Biased means people have opinions. When you ask "what do you think about this idea", you invite them to be open about their thoughts and now you are trying to blame them for it. You are biased with your proposals or ideas too when you are being vocal about it. So maybe just stop for a moment and think that if majority of people disagree with your opinion, it simply means they don't want it.
