I would more wish so that armors installed to transports, would not take any space. and guns. and CMs.
Imagine if transports would stop sacrificing equipment to have more space? Riding around with best equipped possible choices? Even if it took before at least 500+ cargo space.

CAU8 rich transports, for everyone who can afford!
Full of FLAKs, and solaris like turrets.

Transports should not have their regens integrated into their base hull.

Mounting armour on a transport is a risk vs reward choice. By not mounting it you have a little extra space to make profit but the downside is that you will die very easily, particularly to one SNAC. If you use an armour upgrade you lose a little space but are much more survivable. This is how the dynamic should be and how it should remain.

We should be fair about instakills - if it's not ok for VHFs to get instakilled, then it shouldn't be ok to instakill transports 8|

Put an AU8 on it and it won't be.

If VHFs stay still long enough to get pulse-mortared, its kinda deserved 8|

fighters without an armor upgrade get 1shot by a snac, transports without an armor ugprade, get 1shot by a snac. Buy an armor upgrade as even the au1 is enough to stop that on a transport, which isn't even a triple digit cargo item.

as Hokan said, if a fighter is holding still long enough to get hit by a mortar or snac, they deserve to be 1shot. If you get 1shot by a snac in a fighter, it is entirely fair, because you're playing a class designed to be mobile dog fighters, if you get hit by a straight forward projectile from a much slower and larger ship because you didn't turn on it, that's deserved, and that is fair, because you had the ability to stop that, and didn't.

Is everyone so afraid that traders will not be easily insta-killable? It's easier and more beneficial to provide gameplay protection than it is to provide rule protection.

Traders are not so easy to instakill if they have armour.

This is the point, and the tradeoff, and the intention.

The gameplay protection is already there, it just costs you 20 cargo space, rather than being handed over for free.
