They rebuild the docking ring because they are strong zoners who don't want to leave their house.

I don't think that with technologies that we have IRL or in Freelancer it's really hard to survive in underground cities so they can stay in small settlements.

+, in my opinion, live in underground cities better and safest than at space stations.

I have to admit I have also noticed the discrepancy of the infocard and this event. I mean what's the point of rebuilding the docking ring if everyone is just desperately trying to leave the soon-to-be-snowball planet?


This event seems a bit gamey, as if someone is trying to shoehorn the last remnants of the playerbase (which is mainly Zoners, Freelancer traders and Core casuals at this point, with some Hessians and odd Corsairs ) into doing someting meaningful.

It's just a systems decision to make ring work with story being secondary / used for an event - might as well, better than working ring/moor appearing without notice anyways.

Also ... for those traders that fell out of this "event", you can take directly from The Ring to Livadia, there is no bonuses, but also there isn't for Zoners,... yes i tested, and the profit is really good, about 6,5k per unit, for a non ore.

My final thoughts about this event ... well it is just a money maker ... low RP value ... who knows what comes after this ...that is one of the reasons i and many others write so few times, so much hard work to do a Rp story and then all go away with a simple patch. well about the even it is good money maker ... i even saw some convoys and that is good, at least some activity. the best option for Zoner is FP1 - Livadia, and then from Livadia take shelters to Lanzarote, and then go empty to Gran Canaria, and go to Fp1 with deuterium. other traders, non Zoners and freelancers, can also do this, the profut is still good just nobonus, but for they, i advise the ring - livadia, the problem for then is that they have to go empty to omicron delta after that to get some cargo.

so i did at least one run of each, and even tried, my job done, so now just let pray for what is coming isn't the incomprehensible crap that we are now used to.

I just decided to register on the forums so I could post in this thread... The event was kind of fun. Would have been funner if more people were playing when I was. There was some fun RP, but mostly with allies and I was actually hoping to meet some pirates. This event got me so rich that I was all about doing a little RP with pirates or enemies so that I could share the wealth. But because the only players I met while doing this event were allies, I just got richer and richer. Those bonuses were quite hefty!

Thanks to all who put this event on, and I hope there will be more.
