GENERAL OVERVIEW

Ship Dossier Wrote:
Laid down: 831 A.S.
Released from the docks: 831 A.S.
Commanding Officer: Commodore Korbut Yelena Vladimirovna
Executive Officer: Captain Valeryanenko Klement Orestovitch

Once the Coalition's trade and supply routes have been established and secured, along with procurement of some of New Moscow's own resources and a shift of Coalition's military doctrine from exhausting hit-and-run tactics to force projection through superior firepower, the State Duma deemed it possible to begin mass production of the "Tempest"-class carriers, albeit at the cost of all the intricacies of the very first batch that included the mighty “Lenin” and the renowned “Alvin Katz”. However, due to materialistic constraints or lack of resource abundances, the most common choice of action was recycling via dissection of Strike Destroyers and Siege Battlecruisers. Their innards, hull plating and superstructures - all melded into a singular enhanced war machine.

The "Pripyat" was among those candidates. Though not a part of the first batch, it nonetheless had undergone a retrofit - albeit at the cost of crew comfort and integrity of internal structures. Additionally, it inherited now outdated and discontinued fusion-based propulsion drives, which were prominent throughout the olden "Tempest"-class carriers. Ill fit for the frontlines, the "Pripyat's" official modus operandi is surveillance and deep space infiltration.

[:CLASSIFIED - STATE SECURITY DEPARTMENT ACCESS ONLY:]
[+]Addendum
The Pripyat in her original iteration was a “Typhoon”-class Strike Destroyer, assigned to Sirius Coalition Expeditionary Corps as a security vessel. Not too soon after, it became the mobile HQ for the illusive and now defunct Black Ops Cell “Sipukha”. Shortly after the fall of Rostok Deapot and “Sipukha” becoming compromised, its leader, Major Anatoly Grachov, sabotaged the Pripyat’s life support systems and reactor core, rendering the ship afloat and crewless in Jiangxi’s high orbit.

Though Grachov himself is now on the run, there yet to be any signs of him relaying crucial information about the Expeditionary Corps, his Black Ops Cell or the Coalition as a whole to third parties . Regardless, due to those very security concerns, he still remains a priority target of Security Service and Commissariat. As a parting gift, however, he left behind Pripyat’s databanks intact, which contained all the information and operations that once circulated between Sipukha operatives. To make the whole situation less conspicuous in the public’s eyes, the decision was made to pronounce the Pripyat as a victim of hostile sabotage, with a memorial service set for her deceased crew. The ship itself was stripped for parts during the retrofit program, along with Strike Destroyers "Gudermes" and "Derzki". Databanks and their contents were taken to site ZI-6, under my personal supervision. - N
