Duke remains seated while thinking for a moment before replying, "Come, come take a seat," he waves Lilly over. "So you wish to stop fighting... and do something else, what did you have in mind?" He asks Lilly, confused at why she doesn't want to fight.
Lilly tells Duke, "Thank you, sir." She takes a seat across from him. She says
"Okay, I've got a plan. It is about the logistics part of Core that could suit us well. We got that Azurite gas in Minor and the Xeno relicts in Pi and Iridium in Delta, but see, all of these things are in Omicrons, where nomads are as well. My idea is to see if this would work or not. We shall build a station in Sigma-17, 15 clicks away from Bora Bora, so we can A. Supply the station to build and repair it since the engagement of Corsairs and B. Decrease the risk of more citizens or corpos getting infected by nomads. So we also could show that we are not there only for war, as Core also thinks about corners and helps the houses with materials since they gave us a lot of things in the past." She looks at the admiral, scared of his response since she talked alot.
Silence follows Lilly's words, and does for sometime. Duke is a bit surprised and confused at this proposal, as not Lilly is only a lieutenant. "What you suggest is rather way out of our paygrade right now, and the Sigmas aren't quite within ARM reach, as most of our fronts are based in the Omega and Omicrons. What makes you suggest having a base? Would you rather do activities within logistics? We don't have any real manpower when it comes to transport captains, so if you want to do hauling instead, that could be arranged." Duke stands out of his seat and continues, "However, you didn't need to find a way to contact me of all people, although that base suggestion is a bit more serious."
Lilly looks up to the admiral and tells him, "How should I know who, should I respond to another group? Anyways, I wanted to talk to you because I got information about DSE. I contacted them a while ago but they arent responding seems like the comms are erroring in Delta, but I was told that they have created a ship class called "Longhorn" it is meant for these actual things it has "Reinforced structure, sturdy power systems, and enough defensive mounts to make most raiders rethink their life choices." Its atleast what they told me so. You dont need much people it is made for self defending in worst case scenario and is also good to haul plus you dont need to have much crew members you need 18 as far as I know, I trust you with this Idea because i think it could make us look better again. Worst case my plan would be that we take the Prison liner fiji and get some prisoners from Bretonia or even Liberty but its all up on you sir Duke. And yes sir I want to help out the Core in its logistic's ways my dad was used to tell me that you can never win a war if the people do not have money or ammunition." She stood up as well for standing with her words.
"Looks like my tactical officer was right about you, quite the yapper, but also rather bold." Duke stays silent for a second again, then sighs knowing Lilly's words are probably true, "Well I suppose you're right, our logistical department is rather full of cobwebs at the moment, so I see no issue if you wish to transfer over. Head to the human resources department saying you want a transfer, approved by me." Duke grabs a recruitment resume paper that is blank from a file cabinet, a pen from his desk, and quickly signs something on it. "Here take this, they will know what it means. You will still be allowed to fly combat ships, but your new expected duty will be mostly transporting goods around and possibly mining operations when the time comes for your training."
He sits back down again, and says, "Now get out of my office, I have some work that needs peace and quiet to finish. Safe skies to you." He salutes for a quick moment, then goes to rummaging about through some papers looking rather annoyed as if he remembered how dull this work was.
Lilly salutes Sir Duke and says, "Thank you, Sir Duke. You will not regret it. I will take action immediately." She stops saluting, turns around, and walks out.
