Reminder to traders: plan for a new ID

You can always get a Freelancer ID rather that joining a NPC trader faction. Your ships will be limited to 3600 cargo, but I don't think that would be a real problem for anyone who's not power-trading.

Any Ideas on how to go from LPI (Police) tag to a freelancer tag in a transport? Serious question......

I have a large transport which is 2000 units, so a freelancer tag would be fine.

i think its available from new berlin or the ring

in theory daumann engineerigng should let u go everywhere where the trade jump lanes are -- sinc ethey do servicing for all of them...

Really, I think that you should just be shipping in goods that Ageira makes, then, like Superconductors, Gate Parts, Alloys, Passengers, etc, because you simply maintain gates/Lanes, not really trade, and carrying something that doesn't do your job doesn't make much sense...

Yeah... That's just not gonna happen unless Freelancer bribes get added, which I find doubtful. Fortunately you don't need a Freelancer tag to go with a Freelancer ID. You could either lower all your maxed reps by taking missions and then canceling, leaving you with no tag (perfect for a Freelancer-ID'd trader), or try and get a double Zoner bribe and end up Zoner tagged and Freelancer ID'd.

To get an actual Freelancer tag requires doing massive numbers of BHG missions, along with some tweaking at the end to drop all your other maxed-rep factions. Took me about 6 hours doing easy BHG missions in an Eagle.

Now, having said that, I understand wanting to get rid of the power traders. This is a RP server, and they don't want to RP.

Presumably it's escaped your notice that diamond running funds most of the RP characters on this server? Where do you think the factions get their 20 million recruitment funding from?

Keep in mind that when they made the trade routes, they made them so all house courperation's have at least one rout they can do, and the routs will be mostly the same profit wise.

The problem though is that with all the traders being pushed into playing as house corps, the number of traders passing through border worlds like the Omegas is going to be drastically cut. No more Zoner/independent Advanced Trains could mean playing as a Corsair (and possibly an Outcast, dunno as much about their pirating locations) becomes a lot less interesting.

The Ring is a Daumann base, so it's not a stretch to think they would want to import materials useful to them (beryllium) and export what they make (engine components). So you could try going with them.
