Kusari Explorer gunboat is civvie. IMG gunboat is too, technically. And Zoners are getting a gunboat added (which looks awesome), which they sell to everyone, so it'll probably be 'the' civilian gunboat.

It was already said somewhere else that a lot of capships will get their powerplant changed (to a better one), now to get this new powerplant you'll have to buy the ship again.

So rather don't buy any caps now.
(on a funny note: someone told me we should keep saying this and then delay 4.85 for a year, to reduce capship numbers :D)

Not unless you dont mind an inferior power plant. Its not something that can be fixed server side. Each capship got a new powerplant which is techically an invisible piece of equipment. When a ship is sold, the power plant automatically comes with it. You know how the ID card does not transfer when you buy a new ship, that is because such internal items like the tractor beam (now the ID) do not transfer during a sale. They are packaged with each ship. When the change happens your curent cap with have an old package.
