Read the first post!:DDammit. "The high level LFs should not be kept from using mines."

They are not keept, a LF can perfectly well have Nukes + CD... just not 2 extra missiles while at it...

I voted YES to missile damage increase due to what Doom said regarding about missile usage against non-vanilla vessels in this mod version are only used for the sole purpose of stripping guns. Now since all equipment durability is going to be increased added to the fact that vanillas will work same as non-vanilla vessels, an increase in missile is needed if they are to be effective in any aspect.

I voted NO to any kind of limitation of explosives for the same reasons that Jinx stated about the problem of missile usage is based on a subjective approach. Also to the fact that it's just another "popularity issue" so to speak, and it could just as easy be a Codename spammage and we would vote to find ways of limiting Codenames.

Also, I hardly ever use any missiles launchers myself, tho I still agree with the boost they need with the upcoming mod.

Final result is about the same yes, but the implemenation differs a lot,

- you need to remove all guns of that class

- you need to change hardpoints on ALL fighter class ships (~200) and you need to change ALL their infocards

=> about 200-300 hours of editing :$

No reason why a VHF should be able to use missiles and a LF can't.

Actually, just listen to what they say.

And the reason would be the very limited size of the ship, and besides that, very much of it's space is reserved for key components, to maintain top agility. In my opinion, at least.

Bah, oops. I thought someone put that LF shouldn't have em.... miss-read a different post.

The idea for limited missile mounts sounds frick'n awsome. So would any ship with these mounts fire all missiles? eg, death scythe fireing reasonable weapons? (sorry, I love that worthless ship.) I think I am asking are there going to be 3 classes of missile, 4-6, or is it going to be a universal mount?

LF agility is compensated by other things... Far less armor, fewer weapons (and of a lower level), (usually) no torp slot, etc. There's no reason to further limit them by removing their ability to use missiles. They already can't use the top-tier (level 10) missiles, which is limit enough.

well it depends on your point of view yes, some people would say that if LFs can't mount full nukes, armor and some missiles they are too weak, while others complain about getting "LF whored" and think the other way... that's basically while we are making this poll.

@ Varyag

obviously if missiles would be only 1 class it would lead to "abuse" of high level missiles on lower-level ships (like HFs or LFs mounting Paralyzers => Paralyzer + Nuke is not a bad combo at all), so it's likely that they'd be separated into 2 - 3 classes
