Same here...

There are many ways to ruin another people's game and not play fair... some of which are against the rules.

I like never report them, mainly out of lazyness.

And I've seen some bad stuff happen around me, like a Corsair cruiser docking at New Berlin and some guy that decided to re-engage me.

O.O I guess Im an anomoly then. While I try to talk to people that break rules around me (the 'Sair pirating at NB not being hostile to the RM, when I killed him, guess where he undocked from? >.<) I usually get some form of "STFU" at which point I go and compose my screenshots. F1ing and insulting get no warning from me and I just send in screenshots.

As a side note, I ended up talking to that pirate and he saw the error of his ways and promised to correct them. ergo, no report. But the amount of people that tell me "omg ur rules lawyering, I report you" when I pm them is astounding.

I will take a screen shot and hold on to it, but I will try to talk to the person first and see if they are even aware that what they are doing is bad.

For example, a trader docked at Manhattan the other night with a IFF of Outcast. When he un-docked, I announced over the system channel, "Hey buddy, someone in the Mechanical dept. is having a bit of fun at your expense, they changed you IFF to read out Outcast." Poor guy had no IDea. In PMs a few of us gave him suggestions on how to fix it. He did, and that was that.

Now if your blatantly being a troublemaker/jerk, you get no warning, I.E. Like the guy when I was level 25 who killed me twice in the same system with no RP at all, no warning, no nothing.

For me, it doesn't so much depend on how bad it is, but rather how often I see it..If I've been seeing oorp chat all day, I'm much more likely to smack the next person who does it. It also depends on the person doing it, which isn't fair, but I'm more likely to report someone I think is more likely to do it again...

Of course, i haven't filed a report in months.

Ive made one report, ever.

I see ships with Civilian ID past 40/No ID at all on a regular basis, and I always PM them about it. Its even saved a few people from piracy, as Ill PM them about the ID instead of taking their money. Most people are receptive and say theyll change the ID as soon as possible, so I've never felt the need to report it. If i saw them again much later with the same ID issues, I'd probably report, but it hasn't happened yet.

I haven't read the entire thing, but.....

If someone makes me particularly angry ("AFA - You can't pirate" is something that does the trick), swears at me, or is plainly disrespectful to the fact that I am a human being (F1ing because they'll get killed, swearing, etc.), then I will report them. If they aren't disrespectful, and if they appear to be just another person trying to have fun, I'll just talk to them about what they're doing, and nudge them over to the forums to have a look at what we have to offer here.

Aye, I do that once in a while...
