i,m sure all new develop cruisers in v4.84 is a good idea, but all of you forgot something : THE CAPITAL SHIPS IS TO PLAY IN TURRETS VIEW, not playing like a very heavy fighter. so, the mobility and agility of the capships is a nonsense, all capships (gunboat, cruiser, battleship) must be balaced about how many turrets fire in all directions (upside, downside, foward, back, left, right side). ships like corsair cruiser, zonners battleship, outcast battleship, is not balaced because the turrets is put a little wrong and the mobility of turrets don't give posibility to fire in all directions with min 4-5 turrets. also the capships have a big problem in a rock fields because the "near invunearbilty ships" don't work propretly, in fact shileds don't cover all ship. for that have big problems in rock fields, some exteme compnents of capships cach/hit by rocks and i'm sure is not covered by shild. i didn't test yet, but i'm sure if i set the target on that parts of ship (in pvp fight) that parts of ships haven't shiled protect and will receive my hits directly in armor.
remeber all the time: in fact all capships is for turrets view fight, not like heavy figters, so don't amtter to much agility/mobility of the capships, the most imprtant is how many turrets fire in any direction.
the bomber is a good option against capships, but must be modificated: fighters and bombers must have a little more speed: if the capships have speed 80, heavyfighters/bombers must have min speed 90. also all capships must don't have posibility of afterbuner, this option must be just for fhighters/bombers.
to understud better what i say test the mod v2.28, v2.29 and v2.30 and see how works there capships. also search in that mode (2.28, 2.29, 2.30) how works automaticaly docking for capships because there automaticaly docking on planets for capships is directly on mooring fixture (with capships just click the planet and press docking (F3) and will be dock directly on mooring fixture, not on docking ring for fighters)

why must every cruiser have the same power like the others... in a real war every fraction try to buil?t a ship what can beat enemy ships... some make it...some not
It is a bit pointless to discuss cruisers now that they have been totaly rebalanced,...
@ Merc _ Darth Maul, Agility is important as hell, without it, there is no point to CAP vs CAP battle, as the one ship with a bitt more turrets and a bit more hitpoints would win anytime... Caps don't have parts that are outside of their shield... they just don't...

It doesn't matter so long as you have bombers with you. Two bombers will do the trick on ANY cap.

Sorry bud, two bombers will not take "ANY cap" if he knows what he's doing. I can take down 2 (3 once) bombers in my -gunboat- usually without sacrificing any hull, the Juggy pilot was either drunk, a bad pilot, or... drunk.
Edit: Though BD Bombers are broken as hell, so that's one point for him.

Maybe... but you have to understand, Battleship Turrets are slow, bombers are fast. The guy hardly made it to the Battleship Missouri before getting outright owned.
That is true, I have heard that certain fighters and bombers have messed up hitboxes. And Phantoms whore these screwed ships...

There is so much about to change that it is pretty pointless to talk about balence right now.
Its never pointless to talk about balance, especially when the new balance system could easily be full of errors we could avoid just by discussing it. Besides, we have time before 4.85.
