1: They can call friends to help them escape.
2: Most places dont have a prison station of any kind.
1) Well, that makes sense in RP to me (call some friends, kill the cop or just distract him until the others escape, then run).
2) This point is more valid than the first, IMO.
I have one thing that I disagree with about this though, if you do this, then after 4 hours when the player logs on again they are stuck in a lawful zone, probably getting shot at, etc. etc.

Im thinking the hold thing. Take them into your hold. "tow" them to the station. (by this time they should log) which if they are in your hold they cant call for help
Does the prison liner have a docking bay that opens up like the dreadnought?
If so.. have them fly under you, eject some cargo.. then they fly into your cargo hold, and it closes on them... and they are trapped.. lol.... shame that wouldn't work.
Iâll carry this flag

Because itâs flag that I love
And a flag that I trust
Let the bounce-and-die fest begin! Trust me, trying to get inside other players' ships is a bad idea unless you have an admin shield. You'll be bouncing off the inside of it, and your shields will go down faster than... lots of things come to mind here, none of them appropriate for these forums:P

Quote:Yesterday, I was chasing a Xeno with an ID, tag, and Xeno Alliance name (XA). I cruise disrupted him (I was an LPI character) and ordered him to stop. He said "I surrender!" So what am I supposed to do? I can't kill him if he surrenders, its unRP, but I can't let him go either, and I can't put his character in prison. I was called back to deal with a pirate fleet in Alaska, so I let him go. Any thought on how to deal with surrendering, as it is correct RP, but can create problems.
Ehh... Pirates shouldn't be in Alaska and an LPI shouldn't help. Anyways...
I would have him stand still while I destroyed all of his weapons. Basically rendering him use/harmless.
This one is easy. Take the crew or pilot aboard and destroy the offending vessel. Navy isn't going to use it so you gotta make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
I have had a few of the lolwut I surrender you can't kill me lolz lately. I have fallen for it way too many times and tried to escort the ship out of sys or to a base to have them flee at the first chance or attack again as soon as I am gone. One killed like 4 LPI when I left.
Commander Lawson has a scorched earth policy dealing with pirate vessels now. Not saying I hunt fighters with my LABC (it hardly comes out now) but I will kill or attempt to kill a ship of the same class if it is in Liberty and has a Pirate ID. All in RP of course.
Hoozah!
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
@ Darth_Chernobyl: Well ... when someone surrenders ... that would count the same as if he cruised away from combat. We should treat those that surrender or plead for mercy the same as if they lost the PVP fight. They gotta leave the system and not re-engage for 4 hours. Surrendering falls in that lump of stuff that is considered fleeing a fight ... which includes docking, jumping to a different system, cruising, etc. If he's surrendering ... he's attempting to leave the fight.
