Just because there were merchantmen in german waters durring WW2 doesn't mean we sunk them. All I was stating is that there could be repercusions from killing an allied nation's merchants. As for the trader id'ed and random tagged merchants, have at 'em.
You're asking a military power which has embargoed another nation which it is at war with to simply ignore its citizens funding the enemy cause? That would more than likely have been treated as treason during the Revolutionary War.
Treason is a crime against one's country. Back then, the US was NONEXISTENT.
Really, the BAF should be pirating Samura and Kishiro, seeing as [in RP] their profits directly help Kusari. One indy trader taking cargo in or out isn't going to make a big difference.

Yes actually, it is. Every cargo they stop from going to their enemies is one less fighter, one less battleship armour upgrade, to be used against them. And making threats of the Albatross is frankly silly.

If the privateers could only privateer Kusari companies, we'd never get to privateer anyone. Indie traders have huge trading ships and haul lots of supplies, and there are a LOT of indie traders.
With the 4.85 ID, we can't privateer Liberty companies... Which is a severe nerf to us, since the vast majority of indie traders who grab a corporate ID just so they can keep their Adv. Train will end up grabbing a Liberty corp's ID.

One, not much. But ten, twenty, a hundred? Have you SEEN the volume of traffic through S-13? Most of those are indies. Think about that.

Good. I'm glad you have. I don't want to see the privateers shut down because of IC/Universal ID spammage.

I rarely do the diamond run, unless we're in a massive pack.
I do, I have a universal ID. : P

My point exactly.

I wouldn't exactly call it Corp ID spammage... Took me a while to fix my rep to one back when I did it. Anyway, hopefully you will have some corporate kusari id's to pirate. I would expect to be hunted by those corporations for attacking their ships. The CEOs will not stand idlely by as their profits are shrunken.
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
Eh? You do realise that regardless of whether traders are Samura or Kishiro, they do transfer their cargo and then pay for more to the Kusari corporations, so every trader no matter the allegiance is fueling the Kusari war effort by trading with Kusari. The job of the privateers is to make sure they lose as many customers as possible, hence expect exorbitant amounts requested to be paid whenever pirated by privateers, and/or an itchy trigger finger.
You can be Kusari or Rheinland or Liberty, it makes no difference. You're going to get what's going to you for trading with the enemy:P
