Had an...interesting experience yesterday. I had brought boron from Manhattan to take to LD-14, and was in the trade lane from the NL JG to Planet Leeds, when the TL was disrupted and I was stopped by pirates, namely - and this is the kicker - two Hessians and a Hacker. I immediately demanded to know what Hessians were doing pirating in Leeds, but the response - containing a rather alarming shortage of vowels and consonants where they were supposed to be - was dismissive. One of the Hessians demanded 2 mil. I asked again about their strange presence, and they began a countdown. As it neared zero, I explained that if they could give me a good reason, I'd possibly pay more than they asked. They could provide no good reason and reiterated their demand. I said I'd pay only the Hacker (since he was the only one whose presence made any sense), to which they agreed. I proceeded to pay 200K rather than 2 mil, just to see how they would react (I figured missing a zero in my transfer could easily be attributed to the stress of the situation, if they asked). The response from the less than bright Hacker: "Good, now leave!" Alrighty, then...
Approaching LD-14, I commented publicly to the Hessians on the unreliability of their Hacker counterpart, the latter who proceeded to argue that I had paid the 2 mil. I told him to check again, and I heard nothing further. Shortly, I also noticed the Hessians were making their way back to Rheinland.

I apologize for not reported in for quite sometime. I have been alternating between Pullman runs and shipping to Liberty and have encounted very few pirates (credit to the RM, Baf and the LN). In one week time the Calvert family holds its annual get together and I would dearly like to attend as I have not seen my family for quite some time. For three weeks I would be unavailable and the Darrowby would be dry docked at Kensigtion and having the engineers go over her with a fine tooth comb, replacing my comn equipments. I plead with you to allow me to go on this holiday with my family as it has been a traditional event for several years. Please condisder my request.

I hope this message finds you all quite well. After a nice long holiday with my family, I have returned and undertook a short run to Liberty and back yesterday. It was rather uneventful, and I was escorted from Liberty to Bretonia by a certain Grey...something or other I can't remember. Anyway, it went well.

Guten Tag everyone,
I must say, today was quite a good day. At first, I ran the former half of a Pullman Run to Dortmund. I had hoped to find an escort, however, the only character that was capable of escorting the Caernarvon was more than shady. I avoided that mercenary.
On the return to Planet Cambridge with High Temperature Alloys, I found a Bounty Hunter who was capable of serving as escort. Miroslav.Parrot did quite well, though we didn't encounter any pirates, which is a good thing. He also escorted me to California Minor, where I supplied the Planetform operation with Silver for terraforming. The only complaint I may address him with is his political ethics, to which I may raise an eyebrow, but I did enjoy the conversation.
On the return to Bretonia with Luxury Consumer Goods for the Shetland, I heard of a Gaian being dealt with by the BAF. I asked a Lieutenant Simon Aldwyn for an escort through Edinburgh, and he did oblige. He and I shared quite a few opinions, and I was very happy to find another person so alike me, and in Bretonia no less. At the end of the day, I returned to Kensington safe and sound.

Guten Tag everyone,
Today I set off from Kensington Shipping Platform with Niobium with Niobium for Dortmund. Unfortunately, I encountered some Corsairs outside Freeport 1. I took advantage of the bubble of neutrality and maintained orbit there, while searching for a way out of the area, as the Corsairs had left for both Cambridge and the Trade Lane for Rheinland. Fortunately for me, a group of men tagged [ASF] decided to fight the Corsair menace. I managed to sneak past the fight in the chaos.
On the way back to Bretonia, I decided to take Mining Machinery to Freeport 1 and bring Deuterium to South Shields, as the BPA has recently allowed us. Unfortunately, I encountered more Corsairs, but was not so lucky this time. I had to pay the mongrel three million credits to pass through the system. Thankfully, he did not want anymore.
After this, I chatted with a very pleasant person aboard the Sirius_Hauling. He was quite nice, and we chatted throughout New London and Leeds. Hopefullly, he's visit the Highland Pub like he said. I decided then to stay at South Shields and talk about an Optronics contract. Hopefully, it will go through and we can be the only shippers of Optronics for the remainder of the war, which, hopefully, won't be long.

Have been running regular routes between Bretonia and Liberty lately. Beryllium, luxury food, boron, mostly. No unusual incidents to report, other than the usual weirdness in New York.
I did run into IMG's economic director, Claude Foster, yesterday. I believe Gateway and IMG will start picking up business interaction some time soon. This may involve direct purchases by our traders from IMG miners and the like. In any event, it should not be difficulty to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement. I'm sure Mr. Koch will be intimately involved with these efforts.
In other news, I managed to finally offload some obsolete equipment we had on the MobileHQ. We have a healthy balance remaining in our bank.
