How about, instead of limiting this council to 2 Bs and 2 unfactionalised players, with a Bs tiebreaker (which, incidentally, means that Bs can force through anything, because they have the 3:2 majority...), give each faction and independant a representative in a similar fashion to the Zoner Council.
We already have an Order Roster, so it should not be too hard to determine who has the "right" to debate these matters, and, by restricting the factions to only having one member, there is no implication of bias.
However, as a player faction, do you really need to concern yourself with the actions of non-factionalised players? Their actions should not reflect on your faction, and, if people complain about them to you, you can reply that you have no control over them. What you are doing, tho, seems to be an attempt to gain control over all the non-facionalised Order members, and this will result in any actions taken by said "independants" to be viewed as the actions of your faction.
Also, if you intend to restrict access to Liberty, what about the other houses? The Order's remit is similar to that of the LSF, ie: information gathering across the sector, as well as holding back the Nomad invasions.
If you want the Bs to be a fighter wing concerned with shooting Nomads attempting to reach the rest of humanity, that is fine and dandy. However, if someone wants to RP an Osiris which runs all over Sirius collecting data and searching for potential threats of infestation, this also fits within the duties of The Order, and, yes, if they try to do said activities in Liberty, they are likely to be hunted as terrorists.

For the last time, this is not about factions v. indies.
Those chosen for the council were the most qualified, meaning they did most for the Order, rp'd as the order, not only rp'd alot but also rp'd well and are still doing it.
The whole council thing is under discussion but be realistic people, this is getting out of control.
Also, (this is just me), I don't mind attacks into liberty, just the way of how they are done needs to be rp'd.

I believe that n00bl3t has the wisdom to lead the order. I don't see any reason he shouldn't be the one leading the Order. Tell me why he shouldn't, and I'll withdraw my nomination. Stop trying to have it both ways. You want reasoned debate, respond to it. Why is n00bl3t an unacceptable canadate? What makes Wolfpack a better leader than n00bl3t?

If i wanted to, I'd just disband them. Yes, I do have that power to do so. I always did. I choose not to use that power, and let the faction admin itself, which apparently has not worked out as well as I had hoped after DBoy left. I returned to kick it into shape, not control it.
I have no interest in furthering any so-called "agenda" that the faction may have (if there is one, whoever has it will soon find themselves in my doghouse). All i really freaking care about is the role play. THAT IS ALL I HAVE EVER CARED ABOUT!

Yes, I returned fire on the flame material. I'm at fault for that. But i would appreciate you guys letting off on shooting the council idea cause so far, all you guys have shown is power play. "Bs| can't control the order. They never should" Explain that to every other faction that controls THEIR faction. This is a two way street, folks, and I'm seeing a one way shooting contest and we're the targets cause the faction got sanctioned.

We resolved the "power play" bit. The council only controls those who CHOOSE to go with us. Do none of you read the other thread? ONLY THOSE THAT CHOOSE TO DO SO. I'm sorry i ever brought the faction into Discovery. I'm even more sorry that the Admins have allowed the forums to get this hostile to a radical change that has since been corrected. While i respect the admins for having toughed it out in the 2 years i haven't been here, I'm certain they can understand my reasons for leaving in the first place. *THIS* is the kind of community I stay away from, as it does nothing but aggraviate things. For those of you who don't have any kind of life outside of discovery, i IMPLORE you to find one. This is one saying I never thought I'd repeat myself, as I hated it once upon a time.

1) is n00blet a Order character, if so, where's the role play? (i'm talking about biography, role play on forums, cause I haven't seen anything...)
2) What kind, if any, leadership skills do they posess? Persistance? Perseverance? No-Bullsh*t attitude?
I could go on. I've been through this so many times it's not funny and this is the oldest, yet still the most CHILDISH arguement i have ever had to deal with.
And before any of you ask, I *AM* a Certified Instructor in the martial arts. We teach leadership and life skills. While I know i do tend to go out of control at times, I do try to restrain my actions and leadership. But since that is not a possiblity here, I could venture to say no one but the admins have any right to lead.

Besides, my father taught martial arts for years. I beliee that his words on the matter were 'I taught people how to fight, and even then, only fighting really teaches you how to fight.'
Soon we'll have people like Koolmo saying that he's leading the SCRA because he's in the army, as opposed to being the best guy for the job.
