' Wrote:A lot of them are leftover from the previous intrusion into Rheinland when they tried to take over everything. So while it makes sense to make new nomad ships and scorpions, they still have a good deal of forces. Why abandon that?
Indeed, no reason to abandon what they already have, but they've been rogue forces in the Omegas/Rhineland for 15 years or so, hunted by the RM, Hessians, Corsairs, and just about anyone who encounters them, not to mention their constant (NPCs, at least) raids into Rhineland. They would have needed a huge stockpile of ships for the attrition to not have caught up to them by now.

They also seem to shoot down a lot of Rheinland ships, so they could be recovering the parts to use. Though the logistics of npc factions is not an area I've thought a lot about.

Unfortunately our wiki is not a reliable source in these matters, I didn't edit it so whatever put in there might be incorrect, such as the one you quoted. I would suggest to wait a bit for lore docs to be published, they are at least written directly by both factions members in collaboration with third-party contributors, i.e. people directly responsible for the development of nomad/wilde storyline. The information in Wiki is not only severely outdated but also seem to have false statements, I suggest to ignore it for now (in fact I'll just go and delete that non-sense straight off, since it's clearly erroneous statement). I'll make it clear: Wilde were never abandoned. Yes, telepathic link was lost but also was restored, and Scorpions are the joint project between the two.
Guess I'm gonna spend some time to clean up that mess in wiki people have added to clear up the confusion around the subject.
Ah, well, that clears up one misunderstanding. I had figured it must have been you or Praetyre (or however you spell his name) who'd written up the wiki info on nomads/Wilde... Since you guys run them.

Ironically I didn't add information into the wiki, since the lore doc I started writing long before wiki was restored and I simply had no time to write into both at the same time. Besides the one we use currently (Adobe Buzzword Document) is also used for discussions, commentary about various topics, so some parts at various points of it's development could temporary and might be consequentially replaced or rephrased or removed altogether, as it already happened to some parts. I don't really want to put up such temporary information into public before it's completely fleshed out, polished and fits into the whole picture without contradicting the other parts, especially considering there are plenty of contributors to it and reviewers leaving commentary. So it's better to concentrate on the one thing right now and get it finished, it's nearly complete already, just lacks a few necessary topics to cover.
I recall that particular quoted part you put must have been added by Praetyre long time ago, although I opposed the idea of falsely justifying roleplay explanation as to why trial ships are being attacked by their own NPCs. I didn't know it was there, so I was quite surprised where the hell that non-sense came from, but now I see. I apologize for inconvenience and confusion. Suffice to say it's a game mechanics limitation, not a roleplay part, as I mentioned plenty of times in public, i.e. it is in same category as say capital ships bouncing off asteroids and other oddities typically ignored and taken as granted.
