The Avalon, GlenCoe, and Trafalgar made a good run into Rheinland yesterday. Unfortunately we were pirated in Omega 3 and extorted for 6 mil. Hopefully we'll avoid such unpleasantries in the future.
Also, I am very pleased to welcome back to active duty Mr. Alec McIntyre, captain of the Perth. Mr. McIntyre and I, along with our helpful escort, Mr. Kevin Hayes, made a quick run to Liberty and back. We had an unfortunate incident with a pirate in Cortez that resulted in damage to the Perth, but Mr. McIntyre was well on his way again soon.

Glad to be back at the helm, after my much needed holiday on Cambridge. Lovely weather there, plenty of relaxing music to boot.
After getting the cargo bay repaired from the damage the boss mentioned, and after a good rest, I resumed work again.
Simple pullman, followed by a pair of berl/boron runs. Only ran into one pirate, Eddie_Cassidy, but managed to haggle his "tax" down to 750k, so wasn't too bad.
Hope to see you all in space, do trading GI style, in mass convoy!

Managed to catch the end of the treaty signing in Cortez today, the security there was incredible. Had to sit 10k out from the planet, and listen to proceedings. Few idiots ignored this and me thinks they regretted it. What with there being more than 4 battleships present, along side the security details from Liberty and Bretonia... Safest trip to NY I've ever had, following the Liberty fleet back.
Anyway, transported some Boron back to LD-14 after the signing. Safe journey both ways.

Good day gents,
Finished off a Berl/Boron run from Pueblo, with only a minor hitch along the way. Smuggler was caught in NY orbit, and the officer needed help, so we engaged, and I must say, did pretty damn well. Malcolm showed his prowess at the guns while Rob's exceptional piloting skills kept us out of the smuggler's turrets field o' fire.
After returning home, done a pullman, and bumped into Mr. Calvert in the Darrowby by Bonn. Decent bloke, seems he's returning from a holiday too.
Easy journey, easy credits.

Well school is almost over here at Cambridge University and I'll have a degree in astro navigation. My research on the effects of neutrino emissions on long-range scanners has been really cool and stuff. I'll be able to modify the scanners on the Gateway ships to be more effective if you want.
My dad said that I need to get a job soon since he's getting tired of making the payments on my condo in Gran Canaria. You remember when I got that? It's really cool too.
But anyway, I was wondering if I could have my old job back flying security. Everyone in Gateway is really nice and friendly. And I think I did a pretty good job last year.
Well, it's nice talking to you and I hope I can have my job back.

Today I brought home some boron from Manhattan. As I was proceeding back from LD-14 to Kensington, the Outcast pirate Phosphate, a Rogue Gunboat, attempted to rob me just off Planet Leeds. Fortunately for me, just as I was down to half my shield bots, Commodore Nelson of the BAF launched from Leeds and threw the pirate off my tail. I was quite impressed with the good Commodore's impeccable timing!
Also, I had the pleasure of talking to an independent trader, Pyro, about trade in general and about the possibility of working for Gateway. He seemed interested enough to look us up, so we'll see what develops from that. He did seem the hard-working type, so I think he would fit in fine if he decided to come our way.

First of all, welcome back Abbie, good to hear yer coming back to join us. Been getting harder to hire good escorts these days.
Also welcome back to Calum McDonald, on the Glencoe, who I had the pleasure o' running a route with today.
As for my journeys, pullman, and two Berl/Boron runs. Ran into some trouble on the pullman... Wilde problem.
Found a pair o' them in the lanes past Freiberg, no idea how but they eventually agreed to let me and the crew go free, with the price of half my fuel, and my star-chart data. Had ta agree, thankfully got outta there safely. Last I heard o' them, they'd taken down what could only be described as a fleet...
Somehow managed to avoid the pirates on the other runs. Luck was with me, as the lanes the pirates were waitin' at kept going back up just as I approached!
