Yes, cause this will happen once in a year, so it is an enormous problem we must address.

And even if we must somehow solve it, it is solved by the admin simply using the .kill command and then transferring the player to Bastille, so that the ships docked shall also die, and those ships that were docked will respawn at their last station.

Don't make it a save point when you dock at a carrier, meaning, if you die, or it dies, or it logs off, you will respawn at your last station.

Although Discovery is very advanced, nothing can ever be perfect, or have it all. We must strive for improving it as much as possible, so it will be -even better-.
Now there's not really too much problems with this, and if someone can mention a few more, I'll be glad to try and disprove them.
We need to be open for ideas, not jump like hounds to tear every one up.

For this to work, there has to be a special base in every system that the player is docked with while "inside the carrier". Then he/she is beamed to the position of the carrier upon undocking.
Needless to say, it might be possible but 4.85 is out, so enjoy it. Sure, there's many things possible to implement, but we just didn't have the time or mood to do it.
And Cannon's to-do list of FLHook plugins is waaaaaaay looong right now, I bet. All in due time.
Sorry to jumping to this conversation, but Disco is RP sever not PvP like Flak88. LEts say you will dock on Battleship before big fight. You get killed. And you will respawn back on that BS. You will have to leave system due the server rules. Am i right?

And I most certainly am grateful for everything we have in this mod, and there's not much more things missing.
All I said is that we can't ever allow ourselves to say, okay, let's not advance anything further.
I do realize though, that the workload is quite high on the devs, and especially Cannon, who does all the FLHook programming.
Just saying that we need to sift good ideas from the bad, but not discourage ideas with non-arguments.
We need to encourage people to share their suggestions.

You, guys, should talk to Dev, the main coder of FLhook. He coded his program to allow for the use of carriers with an onboard equipment store for resupply, and also, system to system jumpdrives which allows a capital ship or carrier to jump from New Tokyo to New London in mere moments. These features are going to be use in another mod when it comes out.
At least carriers can have the option of releasing 2-3 NPC fighters to make them look like carriers. In many PvP fights (almost all), a NPC wing of the enemy or your side appears anyway.
Why not making them appear from a carrier rather than them "interestingly" finding the battle seconds after it starts, out of nowhere?
Well if someone codes it and makes it, it has no problem, we could put it in, no reason not to do it... except reengagement rules and such...
