Greetings,
Long an' quiet day today, managed to have a chat with captains Fimmion, Gonta and Aderholt. Made the journey that much more enjoyable. Todays runs (using Gunther's calculations):
Quote:Robotic Components (Planet Hamburg) --> Freistadt Base (122 cred/sec)
Cobalt (Freistadt Station) --> Newark Station (91 cred/sec)
Copper (Freistadt Station) --> Newark Station (76 cred/sec)
Robotic Components (Newark Station) --> Toronto Station (124 cred/sec)
H-Fuel (Hamilton Station) --> Kensington Station (111 cred/sec)
Profitable day, with only a minor problem in Berlin with a Unioner demanding contents of my pockets...
Gateway Comm System: OPEN To: Board of Directors From: Viktor Clarance, Duchess Industries Vice Principal, Relations Subject: Inter-corporate Liaison
Sirs and madams of Gateway Interstellar:
I represent Duchess Industries, a newly formed corporation of Liberty House. On behalf of Duchess, I would like to extend to you a profession of respect and admiration for your house, corporation, and employees. There is a pervasive feeling of delight amongst our employees when on assignment in Bretonia, and all our interactions with your corporation have been nothing but pleasure.
In the hope of formalizing and developing our relationship on these positive grounds, I am proposing the establishment of liaison offices on Kensington Shipping Platform vis-a-vis Planet Pittsburgh. We exchange ambassadors and establish a secure communication channel via the gate/lane network.
Communication is the first step to and vital component of any successfull relationship, with this I hope you agree.
As an aside, the captain of your Stonehenge, Fimmion Cage, has a fine touch when it comes to diplomactic gestures.
Optimistically cordial,
Viktor Clarance
Vice Principle of Relations

A long run today, friends. I had caught a shuttle back from Planet Denver (business meeting) and returned to Fort Bush, to my moored "Shetland" Train. Getting my crew ready for the trip - we set off to Planet Pittsburgh to procure Boron. The ship was loaded slowly, must have been a slow day on the main space port.
We took the path to Bretonia through Cortez. My navigator reported no major pirate activity, and he was right. No incidents to report.
Arriving in Leeds, we set off towards LD-14. We bypassed the Naval blockade by flying to the Edinburgh jump gate then heading towards the station. Thankfully, the sun's radiation shielded us from the KNF patrols, so we made it to the station in one piece.
The Gibraltar returned to Planet Leeds and was loaded with Ship Hull Panels, destined for Southampton Shipyard. From there, we headed to Kensington, had a short tea break and loaded the ship with Mining Machinery. The final stretch of the trip was to the Battleship Hood in Dublin - the miners enjoy the new mining parts and robots. As I speak, workers are stocking the Gibraltar with more Gold for Liberty.
Overall, a complete success. I recommend this trade route to our other transport captains - huge potential profits with little risk.

Good day,
I met our new security director, Bernal Eisenhower as we left New York for the last leg of the journey. Glad to have him aboard. Here's for new times with less hassles from the pirates.
Quote:Robotic Components (Planet Hamburg) --> Freistadt Base (122 cred/sec)
Cobalt (Freistadt Station) --> Newark Station (91 cred/sec)
Silver (Freistadt Station) --> Planet Los Angeles (71 cred/sec)
Copper (Freistadt Station) --> Newark Station (76 cred/sec)
Boron (Planet Pittsburgh) --> LD-14 (119 cred/sec)
Quite a nice run, was only stopped once, for 750,000 credits. So not too large a loss.
Well on the way to purchasing that cargo transport.

Hope you all get this message. The docking crew on Fort Bush can be slow and tedious at times - the main tower and station mooring fixtures are often blocked and delayed. Use the mooring fixtures located on the arms, to allow a quick and fast mooring.

A towering pillar of a man walks into his one-room living space aboard the Kensington, barely fitting through the door, and flops down on an alarmingly creaky chair so seemingly fragile that a flea would have a hard time building up the courage to rest his weight on it. Frowning, the bear of a man wipes his ship-tinkering grimy hands on his shirt, then reexamines them, making sure there isn't any filth to dirty his living space. Satisfied with the still toxic cleanliness of his hands, he squints down at the control panel of the desk and smashes one of his large, calloused fingers onto a few of the buttons. "All of Gate-...oh blast! Which one is it...hm...AHA!" Another button is nearly crushed into it's housing, but luckily it was the right one this time, sparing the next random button choices from the devastating might of Bernal's index finger...
