well seeing as how jakes characters all not corsair, i don't think he was using del cids....
but, i hate people that stand by and idle near the battle, increasing the lag. although,i can't seem to remember ever engaging them because they were just there.
And yeah. "ENGAGINBINGER!" is not really sufficient. Then again, people that do that are not likely to be on the forums to see this, so what's the point?

I don't see a problem with someone who can control themselves and not jump into my fight, I myself find it quite entertaining to spectate a battle.
By the by, if you do happen to get shot at as a spectator, it's their (the shooter) loss, now they have another enemy.
